Yes he had the surgery, but when exactly did he get hurt? I think if anything his pride may be a little shaken as well. With that said, knowing that he has so much to work on, can he really afford to miss workouts/camps etc??? I want him to heal up just like we all do, but missing time is really going to set him back, for a guy we're counting on heavily this year. Please give your thoughts.

What were the odds that our #1 and #2 picks both have shoulder surgery at the same time?

OTAs and minicamp are out of the question for them. Progress will be slow

Gonna be a good opportunity for the new rookies to shine though.....if we actually draft some DTs

Depends on the severity of the surgery and his body's recovery that will tell how soon he's back. I agree he needs to get back sooner rather than later, but more because he needs to learn his role on Zim's D.

According to many on here the OTA’s and mini camps are worthless anyway.

OTAs are of limited use for linemen. They need contact to really develop.
As long as he does not rush back; too many players try to do too much too soon

we sometimes rush them back too soon as an organization see Gallup

He sounds like a bust from the tone and lack of any positive comments from former Cowboys players analysis.

It's over.

He needs the time to go to Whataburger and get that freaking weight back. Being thrown around like Raggedy Andy did not look good.

I think you are really on to something. Mazi won't be ready when the season starts, so with Hankins going to Seattle, we have a huge hole in our D.

I agree, but i GUARANTEE you that if he starts training camp on the PUP list, there will be people saying that it's no big deal

Why wouldn't he be ready when the season starts?
