The entire 2024 season seems to be about this…..

“See Dak, this is what happens when you don’t give us a discount.”

Which may actually be better than whats more likely….that they don’t have a clue what they are doing long term.

Sometimes it really seems as if it’s nothing beyond every player on a case by case basis…..’is he worth what he is willing to sign for?’ Yes, sign him. No, pass. A gaping hole in the 22 doesn’t seem to bother the FO. Coach up an UDFA.

The only thing that makes any sense at this point is Jerry is positioning the team to be sold.

We are going to have an NFL record of the most 1 year players in the history of the NFL on our roster. To go along with 1 year coaches.

We have cleared up future cap space for 2025 and beyond.

Now we need future draft picks. Trade CD and Micah. Let Dak, DLaw and Martin walk. Setting up more future comp picks. We are projected 4 - 5th round comp picks in 2025. What can we get for CD and Micah?

Then tank the season and get a top 10 pick in every round.

We could have 15+ draft picks heading into 2025.

I knew owner would have a clean canvass to paint on.
I don’t think the team is being sold. And if it is that process takes quite a bit of time. I do think they’ve identified their next head coach and are positioning themselves to allow that coach to bring on the coaching staff they desire. Somewhere out there is an Offensive Coordinator that in addition to his responsibilities to his team, is considering who he may want on his staff when he’s the Dallas Cowboys’ head coach next season.

A lot of you won't want to hear this, but we spent and went "all in" over the last 3-4 years. That was the window. Now the bill has come due this year.

Cap is real. So yeah this year we can't spend big. We aren't kicking the bill down the road because we're about to have a regime change and will want to be flexible for that.

Ben Johnson abruptly took himself out of consideration for a HC position. Likely became aware a better opportunity may soon become available.

It’s not a matter of can’t it’s a matter of wanting to, and it’s pretty clear they don’t want to.

Eagles are reminding me of the Rams when they got Stafford going all in. Of course they had to blow up the team after a couple of seasons. I get the appeal but that Stafford was a much better passer than Hurts and the Eagles have huge chemistry issues already.

What could go wrong?

You don’t know about “huge chemistry issues” on that or any team. You spout nonsense like that because you hope it’s true. That doesn’t make it true. Cowboys have decisions to make after last season, the Eagles do, 30 other teams do. Making up nonsense about a team having “chemistry issues” is Cowboys’ fans’ wishful thinking.

It is fair that you ask me to back my word.

So let's see.

The Eagles new secondary might have some chemistry concerns

What has happened to this Eagles team? And I think chemistry is a big issue with them. Just because you hear some things leaking out. There's been a couple stories that there's been some discontent in the locker room, and you can kind of see that when they. Play this team looks like one that's like, can we just be done with this?

“reportedly”, “might”, “quite right”…in contemporary America those terms equal click bait. After all that, let’s say all those nonsense stories are true, they won one less game than the Cowboys and got similarly embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs. If that’s the Eagles problem, what exactly is the Cowboys’ problem? Moreover, what are the Cowboys doing about whatever their problem is as they’re getting eerily similar results as the loser Eagles.
