Not shooting the messenger but Royce Freeman... really?
Uncle Rico is better than Royce Freeman, probably Deuce as well.
Royce Freeman is probably the worst FA RB that was available to choose from.
Freeman rushed for 319 yards and 2 TDs on 77 carries (4.1 average). Dowdle rushed for 361 and 2 TDs on 89 carries (4.1 average). Not really seeing much difference. The main difference is that Freeman is a big back.

Just in case Dowdle goes down now we have a very viable match for production loss.

I'm OK with him competing with Dowdle for carries as (hopefully) the backup. Just hope we grab a back early to fight for the starting job. I actually wanted to draft a back early and late to create more competition. With this addition, I'm a little more OK just taking one on Day 2 and bringing in UDFAs otherwise. I'm still not OK with just drafting one in the fifth or later because the chances of finding a starter are significant slimmer.

You put Hofman, Bass, Edoga and now Freeman on the field at the same time!!!! It’s not fair what we’re accumulating in the run game. Defenses are peeing their pants right now across the league.
UFL teams are impressed with this collection. Most UFL teams, some are like ehhh, we have that too.

The important part of this is how does it affect our comp picks for next year?

Oh they will be drafting a RB, where is anybody's guess at this point.

I hear ya my friend, but I was really being tongue in cheek with my comment.

I never trust them to do what's logical, so it wouldn't surprise me if they don't.

He had a few good games for the Rams last season. 4.9 avg on 9 carries versus us back in October. Reminds me of the Ron Jones signing unfortunately.
We only gave up 4.2 yards per carry last season, so maybe we have something here, lol.
