10 best defenses in the NFL going into week 2

The Jets defense stinks. They were fools gold last year.

When your strength on defense is the secondary, and not the defensive line, you do not have a good defense.

I'm all for not overreacting after week 1, but those top 3 teams after gave up an average of over 30 points week 1.

I don't know how the heck they came up with those ratings.. The top defenses in terms of scoring are not up there and neither are the top teams in terms of total yards or yards per play. Must be some super secret double naught spy formula they are using.

The Jets were awful. The 49ers were running at will with a 2nd team running back.

The Titans need to protest. They are being dinged for an INT return TD and a punt return TD. They gave up 148 total yards and 2.8 yards per play but the stat sheet says they gave up 24 points. That's just wrong.

I'd just like to know what the criteria was that they used. Did they grade on a curve because their own offenses contributed so little so they had to work harder while giving up 30 than the Vikings D did while giving up 6?

I don’t think he’s saying that I kind of question it too. Cowboys and 49ers both were the best defenses on the field those respective games.

Yeah it is weird especially Cowboys and 9ers being tied when they both looked better than the teams they faced that happen to be 2nd and 3rd.

We get to play 5 of those teams in our first 11 games & we're tied for #4. So our offense gets to sharpen their skills against the best. If we get better because of it, the remaining 12 games should be easier.

Not really on the defense. The D gave up 14-17.
There was a special teams score, a turnover in scoring range, and multiple turnovers on downs in Cle territory because their offense just wasn't doing anything.

Our offense really only had two drives of note.
