Serious Question

Why is Dak always absolved of any blame when it comes to his poor play. After every INT, its either the receiver ran the wrong route or didnt do enough to break the pass up (see both ints when targeting ceedee in the endzone). After every fumble in the pocket (Sacks are a qb stat). And the most frequent excuse is scheme and lack of weapons. Was this not the same scheme when he was 2nd in mvp voting last season?

Cowboys twitter is filled with posts like this one. This is now the third offense where Dak fans have casted blame on the scheme.

The last question I pose is, what supposed top-5 QB have you seen constantly given these excuses for poor play? If he is as good as yall say, shouldnt his talent be able to overcome a “bad scheme”?

He is never absolved. We do you blame only Dak when we give up 40+ points, 200 yards rushing and we struggle to run for 50????

Look at our average loss the year.

50 yards rushing and 200 rushing against.

Does Dak run the ball?

Does he play defense?

Dak should only have to throw 1 TD and 1 pick per game for 220 yards. Just like Troy Aikman.

Maybe you arent familiar with my posts on this board.

I have threads trashing the front office. Threads trashing Mike Zimmer. Threads trashing McCarthy.

My Dak posts/threads obviously are the only ones you focus on because you too are one of the fans that make excuses for him. Like moth to a flame

QB is not responsible when the team gets blown out. It's a continued trend dating back to Week 5 49ers. Offense had been decent until the Lions game. No indication it's a continued issue. But the defense looks like it's definitely a continued issue unless something changes.

I am not making any excuses for him. I also don't expect him to score 7 TD's on 7 consecutive drives.

If Troy was dominate with 1 TD and .8 int's per game, then Dak is doing extremely well.

When your QB fumbles and throws untimely INT's in the RZ it kind of deflates a team. When your QB does this on a weekly basis, it kind of deflates a team. After 8 years, it kind of deflates a team. No, he isn't the only one to blame....

It’s the line‘s fault, it‘s the receivers’ fault, it‘s the backs’ fault, it’s the defense‘s fault, it’s the HC’s fault, it’s the fans‘ fault, it’s Santa Claus’ fault. It’s never Dak’s fault of course, he‘s perfect. MVP runner up baby!!!

Just curious regardless of what team teams are playing, who wins when a team runs for 50 yards and another team runs for 200????

Who signed Dak???? It's like being overweight yet mad at your legs for all the food your hands and fingers stuffed in your mouth. Dak is your legs..... Jerry is your hands and fingers...

They're blaming that interception on CD when he had no chance on the ball.

"He should have acted with more urgency about not being able to catch it."

Pure insanity.
Defying all logics of physics in doing so. Dude is running almost full-speed in one direction and wanted him to somehow stop, turn around, and deflect that way underthrown pass in .5 seconds

This is crazy

Because usually dak can't score or long drive....giving the ball back to them over and over.

Match scores and see what happens.

Jerry is terrible. The worst owner and GM in sports. Nobody will argue otherwise.

This thread is about why dak gets excused for playing terrible. There are a bunch of fans that wanted him here. Cheered when he got that stupid contract. And now blaming everybody else for his failures all the while knowing hes never going to get what he needs here to succeed.

Dak’s negative issues affecting the Cowboys, for me, come down to mostly involving the QB salary problem in the entire league. Above average QBs are wildly overpaid relative to their impact on the cap, which makes roster management in the NFL exponentially harder as a result. This is further compounded particularly in Dallas because the FO will do absolutely nothing in FA to improve, which other teams with overpaid above average QBs are doing, such as the Eagles. Dak is good enough to win a SB when he has the pieces around him. I truly believe that. He’s not garbage as many on this board like to say. His weaknesses become more obvious and apparent when there is less talent around him. I suppose one could argue that Dak should be self aware enough about his weaknesses and sign cap friendly deals in order to give Dallas the greatest leverage to acquire more talent to put around him. That still doesn’t fix the main problem though, which is the hyper-inflated QB market in the NFL, nor does it solve Dallas’s particular problem regarding the FO ignoring FA every damn year.
