As silly as the curtain thing is, it provides a snapshot into Jerryism

Jerry has to be right. It's that simple. He wants to win but it has to be on his terms. It has to be with him sitting out FA. It has to be with him just building through the draft. It has to be with him picking/approving all the coaches. It has to be on his terms.

Jerry doesn't just want the Cowboys to win. He wants Jerry to win. He wants people gushing over him and his decisions.

Which is why he loathes to admit a mistake. Because any concession or change (say they suddenly spend in FA or they hire a coach that demands more control) is an implication that Jerry shouldn't get the praise but rather other people. If they have success when Jerry does something outside his comfort zone, he views it as him potentially not getting the credit he deserves. He'd rather be right than actually win.

And the curtains is just a small snapshot into that thinking. They use curtains for every other event to block the sun. However, Jerry stubbornly dug in years ago when the issue was raised and putting up curtains would be him admitting he was wrong all this time. He has to be right, he cannot admit a mistake even to the detriment of his own team. And until that type of thinking changes, this franchise is going nowhere. And if Stephen has the same impulses as his dad, the same desire to be right over winning, then this franchise is cooked for another two decades or as long as Stephen runs the show.

Well said. Add to it that Jerry has nothing left to attain.

Most valuable franchise? Check.

Super Bowl Championship(s)? Check.

Hall of Fame? Check.

The fact that the SBs has very little to do with him is irrelevant; that’s not the case in his mind.

The fact that he’s in the HoF is irrelevant in his mind.

The hope with Stephen is that, as with almost all children, he wants to blaze his own path. He’s done none of the above. The question is, will he have the burning desire to win a Super Bowl once he’s no longer under the umbra of his father?

He’s right even when he’s wrong, don’t believe me just ask Jerry. It’s sad and I’d be shocked if we see curtains in Jerry’s life time, he just will not admit he’s wrong

You're preaching to the choir...

I thought these windows had a shield that was retractable? I swear in years past they would do this. I even remember a time where they opened it up to blind the opposing team lmao

If they use curtains to block the sun for other events then it makes Jerry look even more irrational. This is our owner and GM.

Any person in authority in charge of any organization who cannot admit a mistake is a poor leader. And it pretty much guarantees that even small problems become bigger because the boss is incapable of being wrong.

That kind of “leadership” is always destructive.

100% people like Jerry think the inability to admit a mistake is a show of strength. It actually just confirms the inability to learn.

The curtains are in the way with the throwaway season which this was all along.

The sun in players eyes is much like the fan tours in player areas. Some are small things but they can still be distractions.

The greats will take into consideration every little detail to give their team an edge. Jerry simply doesnt care.

From the curtains to free agency he certainly goes the extra mile to make sure his team has no competitive edge and just counts on luck and other teams making a ton of mistakes to survive I detest this man more everyday.

He is taking the team I loved since I was a child and made it the laughing stock of the NFL

Its worse than that, the media didnt even bring it up..he did as a "One more thing" like he NEEDED to get it off his chest that the sun and moon have daily charts...I was like "Score one for the ARK school system i guess?"

The biggest lie ever perpetrated on the fans is “Jerry really wants to win”.
