Maybe it's time to have a conversation about Vic Fangio as head coach

Are they going to bring 8-9 starters from their defense???

Outside of Micah, Overshown, Diggs and Bland it’ll be a tough overhaul

No, thank you.

We need a good head coach, not a good coordinator. Someone that commands the respect of the players and is not just an Xs and Os guy.

Kill 2 birds with one shot.........this may be the only way to slow down what they are building

Been there failed at that. We do not need another old geezer running the defense. See Monte Kiffin and Marinelli.

Also the Jonesboys need to stop HC of offense and HC of defense basically make Jerry Dumbo GM Jones owner, GM, and real Head Coach.

Good coaches don't want to work for Jerry and his idiot family who all hold jobs WAY above their abilities due to unabashed, unapologetic nepotism

The Cowboys dysfunction is not clear for everyone to see. Jerry treats his coaches like "The Help".

The only coaches that would come here are those who have no other option, or soft coaches who are fine being the owners puppet

Fangio has already stated he hopes to retire while in Philly. This was widely reported a while back. He is from the area, has family there, was a fan growing up and wanted to return prior to 2024. I think he is 65 and unless he is fired I kinda doubt he would leave, even for a HC position unless it was in Philly.

67 by the start of next season. Has indicated he’s not interested in being a head coach again. And you’re correct. He did say he wanted to get back home. Surely Jerry Jones can do better than Fangio for a head coach.

The Eagles stink they are just lucky our stud players weren't available!!!! :muttley:

Too old and is basically home to retire.

This team needs a young hire. One ready to commit to very long days, weeks, months. and years.

Hopefully one who knows college players he tried to recruit.

He wasn't good in Denver, but sometimes they're better on their second go around. Why not? I'd be okay with this. He's big on physicality, and he's probably within the Joneses price range for a coach. So yeah, let's do it!

What scheme he runs????? 3-4, 4-3, Tampa 2 ????
We run a man-heavy D with varying fronts. Earlier in the year it was a kind of 3-3 nickel, but he switched to a 5-2 (3 DTs) in the Saints game and that destroyed because of the variety and depth of DTs we have. Jalen Carter can play edge/3t/NT, Milton Williams can play edge/3t, and Moro Ojomo can do 3-tech or Nose. So we’ve run that a bit since with a 4-2 base Nickel. It’s not something he ran a lot in Miami, so I think it’s because of our unique personnel.

An old tweet, but….

Too bad the Joneses would never give him the defensive talent they have in Philly. What do they have, like, half of their starters are first-round picks? We have two ... well, I guess three if you count Hooker who we got off the trash heap.
