These guys careers were robbed of winning a ring. Both of these guys should play one more year. But they should both take the D-Ware approach and go find teams who need them and are close to winning it all.

I know Tank isn’t admired around here a ton. But up until his “we were tired” comments last year, he was always really good for us. He’s an elite run stopper and can still contribute at a high level.

Martin should heal up and give it one more go. Go somewhere where he could help the young guys and make a difference when someone gos down before playoff time.

I could see both these guys going to a team like Detroit, KC, Baltimore, or SF and really helping them get to the big one.

I loved martin and he had been great.

I think Tank robbed the cowboys. I never thought he deserved a second contract and then kept getting gauranteed on his salary. he has been injury prone and good against the run, but not a great DE in creating pressure, etc. you can find run blocking DEs in mid rounds. he was money wasted.

Both are going to get paid.

DLaw ranked 80th by Pro Football Ref on their HoF list.

solid player.

Martin is 10th. Elite.

Not by us. They are both in serious decline. They may play somewhere next year if that somewhere is a true contender. We are looking at 3 years min to turn this around in a big way.
Agree.

their dead cap $$$ will prevent them from playing for us.

You can also find great rbs in mid rounds. Mid rounds are always the go to around here, but more often than not those guys aren't anything special. Dlaw has been really good for a long time. Good luck replacing him with a mid round pick.

OL and DL will not be fixed in a year. Unless they get involved and spend in FA. Others teams have done it. This FO is adverse to success.

It is time to move on from Tank and from the looks, same for Martin. But will Jerry do it. Senility has taken over more than ever with him.

DLAW's replacement is already on the team....Kneeland was drafted to replace him.....done deal.... Tank will either be cut or his contract re-done,....aint worth the money today's..old & injury prone.

New England always got rid of players a year early as compared to a year late. Worked well for them. We have always chosen the year late path and paid dearly for it.

IMO if D-Law wants to play, they'll re-sign him if he takes another paycut.
Still a good run stopper and average pass rusher.
And with the DE's still looking bare for 2025, they need the depth.

Martin, IMO is out the door looking to retire.

I have some faith that the oline can be serviceable for next season but the interior Dline is one of the hardest to fix.

Exercising Parsons 5th year option at 21 million does give them some room to sign a blue chip DT free agent

Since Dak is signed for big bucks, I hope Jerry fully understands what going all in really means.....he's got 2-3 year window with #4 to get this done

Ok, you've mentioned us and New England. What have the other 30 teams in the league done that didn't have the luxury of having the GOAT QB playing on a cheap contract, being a perennial SB contender that made it easy to attract FAs to replace the guys they got rid of?

That's a separate discussion. My point was his value to this team over the years, and how he isn't that easily replaceable. I dont believe extending an older player is a good move in most circumstances. Kneeland also wasn't a mid round pick for that matter.

There is no healing up for Martin. Time has taken it's toll.

How many super bowls have those other teams won other then NE?

PS. Not many. That's why NE is still the gold standard and worth emulating.

Lol! Theit careers were robbed? Like everyone retires with a ring. I think they'll be OK with the millions of dollars they have earned....

Martin will retire. Next stop HOF.

DLaw will be a Cowboy for his last rodeo next year. He is needed and can still play well.
