AI Overview:

Yes, Deion Sanders, the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, is known for his old-school, military-style approach to coaching that emphasizes discipline and accountability:

Command-and-control: Sanders uses a no-nonsense, command-and-control style to get results.

Accountability: Sanders is unapologetic about holding people accountable. For example, he once kicked his son, Shilo, off the team for arriving late to a meeting.

Charismatic: Sanders can get away with more severe coaching methods because he tends to charm everyone he meets.
Sanders' leadership style has been described as visionary and actionable. Some say that business leaders can learn from Sanders' approach to building a culture of respect and discipline.

Deion Sanders, Taylor makes clear, is not a players' coach, but an old-school disciplinarian. Once, he temporarily kicked his own son, Shilo, a safety (another of Sanders's children, Shedeur, is the star quarterback), off the team for showing up to a meeting insufficiently early. - Nov 11, 2023
If you are still in doubt about Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders being good enough to coach today's Dallas Cowboys, read this article. You won't be disappointed. It's a long and lengthy article, but very informative and well written. You will realize Coach Prime is exactly the type of coach (old school disciplinarian) today's Cowboys need and how his flare for the media would actually keep Jerry happily satisfied with more exposure and marketability while still able to old-school discipline this team (which this team direly needs). That's not including the assistant coaches Coach Prime would bring with him and lure to help him Ccoach today's Dallas Cowboys.

The bold sentence is why he won't be a good fit in Dallas and we all know why

If this place is a circus with Jerry already
It will be doubled with prime.
Remember that time Deion stood up in front of his church members and sang that crazy song about silver and gold? If I remember correctly the message was about how money isn't everything. Try to preach that message to anyone on the current roster and see how fast you get tuned out.

I love his approach, but think it's probably better served on college kids. I don't know if it translates to the NFL. I also don't know if having someone so close to the Jones family is a good thing. This FO needs a coach who is stubborn enough to stand on business and not allow old allegiances to cloud their way.

Sorry, but Deion sucks! He's winning because he's recruiting players off other teams and NIL has no salary cap. I have a Deion Sucks story, I'll share it with you one day, or I'll share it on here if he gets the job. Don't get me wrong, I'll support him and wish him the best if he's our coach, just like I did Garrett...that doesn't mean they Don't Suck!! I won't go all Mountaineer on him, though. Or...:muttley:

These are NFL players, not college kids. Deion's style of coaching would not be well received here or on any other NFL team.
Part of that is true in that he can't ship a selfish, lazy player off to East Carolina University ,however,

"free agents that come here will be approved by Deion AND know what his requirements will be"

The quoted section is dependent on Jerry allowing Deion full autonomy.

Ex and current players love Deion so attracting the right kind of players shouldn't be an issue

Coach on coach hate crime happening here.

Yup, I was in the congregation when that happened.....we never did find out what happened to the collection basket that day

Fat chance he comes to Dallas.

The #2 recruit in the nation just committed to Colorado.

However, if he does make the jump I would wager it would be LV. They draft his son and bring Dad there to coach.

I don't want him. Not a fan and don't know that he is NFL HC material honestly.

There is already enough of a crap show in Dallas and adding him to the mix would only make it worse.

I know talk is cheap but he says he is staying in Colorado.

Deion took a 4 - 8 2019 Jackson State team and turned them into a 11 - 2 (2021) and 12 - 1 (2022) winning team 2 years later. Deion also took a 1 - 11 (2022) Colorado Buffaloes team and turned them into an 8 - 2 possible NCAA Div I top 12 playoff team (and potentially a Big 12 Division Champ) only 2 years later as well. I don't care what anyone thinks about his coaching style, but he definitely is doing something right to be able to right away turn around 2 badly struggling college football programs and turn them into big winners within 2 years each one.

The college players have ZERO allegiance to any school or any coach.....if Deion wants to move on he won't give a rip about any Qb committing to Colorado

The consequences of NIL and the portal....it's just bidness

Deion is respected by NFL players though, look how many support him now while he is at Colorado.
