Who you got?
Ashton Jeanty rb Boise State
Kenneth Grant dt Michigan
Kelvin Banks ot. Texas
Tyler Warren te Penn State
Derrick Harmon. dt Oregon
James Pearce Jr. edge Tennessee
Walter Nolen dt Mississippi
Josh Simmons ot Ohio State

I go Kenneth Grant here. James Pearce is my 1b pick.

I can snag Omarrion Hampton in Rd 2, so I can pass on Jeanty. Banks likely slides into to guard based on projections. I am not touching tight end here.

Harmon and Nolen are solid, but I feel they aren’t enough to go where we pick.

Simmons coming off an injury.

Jeanty will go top 10

if that is who is available I take Grant

Hard to choose between Harmon n Grant, for me, but I'll go Harmon because of his production. Find a strong NT later in the draft (Deone Corleone) or FA. I really like Grant tho, and would be happy if Dallas picked him.

Kelvin Banks Jr injured his ankle during the Texas A&M game. He was on the sidelines in a walking boot, I haven't heard how serious it is or if it will affect his draft stock. He stoned SEC pass rushers at he line of scrimmage all year and should be strongly considered since Guyton isn't looking too good.
At 12 give me Grant.
Hopefully we will still end up in the top 10 after the season is over. No one is going to put this offense over the top with an average QB more than Ashton Jeanty. I don't care that he is a RB. When you can draft elite talent you do it.
This whole "passing" league is pure BS.

I do not see us getting a top ten pick and he will got top ten

At 12, this team is taking Jeanty as he is a top five prospect. Harmon/Grant would be where I lean

Jerry hears the criticism regarding Dak's contract and IMO his offseason priorities will be surrounding him with the right coach(s) and more weapons. With that being said, I am 100% confident JERRY will draft either the best RB ( Jeanty ) or WR (Tmac).

BTW.....correct me if I am wrong but I thought the goal was to draft a huge elite run stop who can also keep the LBer clean. But I notice some have admitted a run-stopper with pass-rush limitations isn't worth a 1st round pick. I mean if we are looking for a player who excels at both, are we not back to the Dan Quinn/Rod Martinelli type DT?

Here's a list of PFF DT rankings at the start of the season. Notice some excels a pressures but are average to below average run defenders. This is my concern that may get lost in finding the right DT for THIS defense.

I am fine taking either Grant or Williams who are the NT’s as they are elite

Not sure Hampton makes it to us in round 2, but a DL or OL in R1 and Hampton in 2 is my ideal start.

Honestly, my concern is more positional than talent. A DT rarely makes an immediate impact as it generally takes 2-3 years. Since Mazi is showing improvement, I am leaning more toward pairing him with a free-agent vet with a solid resume as a run defender. That way I know what I'm getting and know he can hit the ground running.

At 12, hard decision
Understand totally but IF this kid is as good as advertised, IMO you take him and don't look back. He will make Dak a better QB day one.......remember the crazy win rate he has with an RB rushing for 100+ yards?

I love the DT from Kentucky. He has great size and is crazy quick. His highlights are very impressive.

I think you could move down a bit and pick up a 2nd/ 3rd while selecting him. Lots of holes to fill, but would probably take the best RB available in the 2nd.

If I can get the next Daron Payne I’m doing it!
