Mike McCarthy when asked about Sunday potentially being his last game as Cowboys head coach and if he’ll have to fight the urge to take it all in: “I’ll be honest with you, I go to the stadium much earlier this time in my career than I used to. I won a Super Bowl in that home locker room at AT&T Stadium.

“So I have a very strong emotional attachment that it hits me every time I walk in there and every time I walk out. So, yeah, I’m definitely aware of it. I’m not thinking about it right now, but, yeah, I’m definitely in tune with that.”

definitely in tune with that, says a lot! If we win, the process to let him go will take longer, if we lose, he'll "mutually part ways with the cowboys!" lol

Yeah, no Mike McCarthy. Jerry Jones does not care like you do. He would have told you what your near future might look like if he did--before the season began.

McCarthy should take solace in Jones will not string him along as long as he has done others. He kept telling Johnson for years, "Don't worry, Jimmy. I will put you in the Ring of Honor."

It is highly likely Mike McCarthy fate was decided long ago. It has simply not been publicly announced yet.
Don't tell your buddy big dog this, he'll start treating me with love and honor!!!! A lot of us hope this is true what you're saying, but knowing Jerry, he's going to get a 10 year extension lol and "keys to the organization

Wow filled with anxiety about who will be the new assistant HC in Dallas as the HC has been the same since 1995.

Haha. No. That would be an atypical move by Jones. McCarthy is not his Tom Landry.

If it is, I trust there will be a Mike McCarthy appreciation thread.
There should be, most fans don't appreciate a damn thing. Dealing with Jerry is enough reason to show appreciation. Jerry should have replaced him....it's nearly impossible to win as a lame duck coach
