McCarthy acknowledges this could be his last game with the Cowboys

I don't know about everyone else, but I've had enough of this head coaching carousel in Dallas.

If he already knows he’s gone, he should treat Jerry to a long look at his Trey Lance trade last year. Leave him in even after 5 picks. No punts. Go for it on every 4th down no matter where on the field. Make sure Jonathan Mingo gets at least 10 targets, and Deuce Vaughn gets at least 5 touches, lol!

If I’m Mike McCarthy, I would be making this a very fun finale. Why not? Give Jerry the season finale deserving of the off-season Jerry gave McCarthy.

He's such a softy, he gets the same feelings every time he walks in and out of Golden Corral.

Net net McCarthy did a good job in Dallas. No coach could win it with Jerry and Stephen in the FO. No coach. I think the place might be too toxic at this point so the next coach is likely to be a yawner. Jerry really finished this franchise off.

I read the Chicago Bears are interested in MM . Caleb Williams going from Eberflus to Mac . What in the way of offense has the Bears thinking this would be the best fit for its franchise QB ?

It's insanity to think a coaching change in Dallas would positively move the team needle an iota under the Jones regime.

The ghost of Vince Lombardi couldn't take this organization to the next level. Of course, someone of his ilk would be far too prideful and intelligent to take the job.

McCarthy has never been the real problem here. And anyone remotely familiar with the Dallas Cowboys knows it.

Just curious was it jerry’s fault the team wasn’t ready to play against GB in their home playoff game? Was it jerry’s fault the team committed the most penalties in their history in another playoff loss to SF. I’m not defending Jerry, but spare me that MM is a good coach, he was terrible in big games, clock management was horrendous and his play calling is worst of all

Just curious, if you deem MM to be a bad coach, who hired the bad coach? It always comes back to Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones cannot rid himself of being a fan. Thus, he makes bad football decisions; and his football IQ leaves much to be desired. For example, what GM in their right mind would say that Zeke = Derrick Henry.

Jerry & Stephen function, in duumvirate fashion, as collective de facto head coach of the team. McCarthy...or any other person unfortunate enough to land in his position, is contractually obligated to submissively serve as mandarin "JC" (Jones Coordinator). There to take the fall for every vainglorious error of his wholly-unaccountable "superiors." Which, it appears he will do...and shuffle off to another city. I wish him luck. He was too nice a guy for this futile task.

Wow filled with anxiety about who will be the new assistant HC in Dallas as the HC has been the same since 1995.

Hey, that's from Airplane. Or some very good AI stuff here? lol

Easy to dog him this year but three 12 win seasons in a row.

Dude managed better results than anyone else since the Jones Boys total control of team.

He crashed and burned in the Playoffs, but so did everyone else.

Thanks Coach Mac. Good luck wherever you end up. I won’t be a hater. I respect the hours these guys put in.

Yup,
What he said.

Nothing says "We believe in you" more than going into the final week of a contract with a coach. Jerry and Stephen..... showing the rest of the league how it's done since 1996.

Let me repeat this because apparently it wasn’t clear enough, jerry is a huge problem, but as owner and gm, he’s not selling the team. However, just because the game has passed him doesn’t make MM a good coach. They are both part of the problem and at least fixing one of the problems is better than fixing none of them
