Mike McCarthy when asked about Sunday potentially being his last game as Cowboys head coach and if he’ll have to fight the urge to take it all in: “I’ll be honest with you, I go to the stadium much earlier this time in my career than I used to. I won a Super Bowl in that home locker room at AT&T Stadium.

“So I have a very strong emotional attachment that it hits me every time I walk in there and every time I walk out. So, yeah, I’m definitely aware of it. I’m not thinking about it right now, but, yeah, I’m definitely in tune with that.”

I wanted him to remain longer than Landry's tenure.
The culture and identity of the team he established will forever remain an eternally impressive legacy.

Bottom line….he did not accomplish what he was brought here to do, which is take a perpetual 8-8 team to the next level in the postseason despite gaping holes in the roster due to front office incompetence.

Then again…who really thinks Jerry can do any better, and if so, who?

We know they always take the ‘comfortable but will never win a championship’ route, so I expect Mike back at a nice raise with Jerry continuing his undermining act and thinking it’s not a problem.

From his lips to Gods ears
Though i think he is going to get an extension to continue the long standing tradition of mediocrity that he and Dak have nurtured so carefully
