Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty wants the DallasCowboys to draft him

Does he make it to 12? If so, will the Cowboys pull the trigger or trade down?

I can see advantages to draft and to pass on Jeanty. More than anything, I'm anxious to see how is still there and what kind of trade (if any) the Cowboys get.

If he's still there at 12 he would be the best player available. I believe if we don't draft him we'll have to deal with him.

They can go either way. I've been running mocks and they can either take players at their 3 top picks bpa or trade back and get more picks. It works either way. It looks to me that they will get a running back and at least 1 dlineman in their first 3 picks. They are going to have some good players fall to them at all of their first 3 picks.

Oh No,He wants to become a Cowboy..You know what that means? Ask Derrick Henry..

Jeanty has on a couple of occasions said that he would love to be drafted by "America's Team. '' "Dallas Cowboys,'' he said when asked to name a favourite. "I'm from Frisco, played in Frisco, I played in their practice stadium. I would be a hometown hero if I went there."

Keep going for the shiny toys just to stay average. Who needs trenches anyways…….

Dtackle runs deep into the 2nd round. 10 dtackles in the top 60.
Seven of them are Mazi or worse. Dallas needs a legit DT. I’m fine with people liking Jeanty, he will be good but Dallas has bigger needs first.

As I have been saying, no chance they pass on him if he makes it to 12. Value, need and him being a local kid means huge merch

I'm so confused with your statement! "Does he make it to 12" will they pull the trigger to trade down??? Huh??? Wouldn't we need to trade UP to get him if you're saying "will he make it to 12??":huh::huh::huh::huh::huh:

How far would you want them to trade back??? You know me i'm a BIG fan of trading back, we go cheap in free agency and lose guys on this roster like last year, we need to replace them via the draft if we can.

You don't draft for need. You draft talent. That's how we end up with Taco's and Mazis over TJ Watts and Steven Jackson's
I have to agree..........never pass over elite talent for positional need. It's the same as saying I will pass on a 1st round-graded player coz I need the 2nd round-graded player for a certain position.
While we here.....something that excites me about Jeanty is I get Barkley/old-school RB vibes. He's a threat to take to the house on any given carry.
In other words, the Eagles had a serviceable RB last season in Swift ( almost a 1000 yards ). I can't convince me defensive coordinators played the Eagles differently this season with Barkley in the backfield. IMO that's the margin between Jeanty and the next tier of RBs.
