Isn't that getting ahead of ourselves? We don't know that Deion has been offered a job.I hope Deion turns Jerry down. Jerry needs to be treated as a pariah by all coaches that he wants to hire.
wouldn't Deion qualify for that?Rooney Rule![]()
And Jerry was helping out his friend, and getting publicity in the process. Which is all he cares about.Anyone that didn't see this coming failed to read between the lines on deions statement last night....all he's doing is using his connection to Dallas to drive up his leverage with Colorado, simple negotiation tactic
Exactly right Jipper.....he can thank JJ though too. UC is bidding against themselves. Deion was never a serious candidate.Anyone that didn't see this coming failed to read between the lines on deions statement last night....all he's doing is using his connection to Dallas to drive up his leverage with Colorado, simple negotiation tactic
MOSTLY right lou...he cares about publicity for sure as long as MONEY follows closely. Can't stand him.And Jerry was helping out his friend, and getting publicity in the process. Which is all he cares about.
He already is the head coach.Jerry just needs to become the first Owner/GM and now Head Coach. He can save millions by doing so.
Deion to Dallas just feels more like a video game than it actually happening. I think the door is slightly cracked open, so wouldn't say never, but if you take Deion's words at face then he won't be coaching here.I'm not sure why this story is blowing up everywhere just the whole Deion Sanders interest,
yes, Jerry Jones has a actual interest and he had the itch he called Deion he scratched it he wanted to find out where his head was about becoming a head coach for the Dallas Cowboys and how he would feel about leaving Colorado it was never a formal or serious interview process, but it really happened ,it was real, it wasn't about a circus, and Deion Sanders already said months ago that he was not interested in leaving college at this point that he has more work to do and he prefers teaching young players versus pro players he said it.
But of course everybody says Jerry's just doing this to get attention and now you're saying Deion listened only so he can use it as leverage for money none of this is true it'll work out that way because Deion Sanders probably is at least an up and coming coaching prospect for the NFL and other teams I'm sure have called it's not just Jerry ,he is a name that is going to be at least on some pre interview lists you know throw a phone call out see what sticks. This is once again the fan base the media social media everyone getting ahold of the story that Jerry's interested in Dion and now we come up with all these theories there is no theories.....This was simple of course it's attached to the Dallas Cowboys and people want to make it complicated Jerry was interested he made a call Sanders as he already said before he's flattered but he's not ready to leave college...How is Cowboys will always be the biggest story on the planet they will always attach it to Jerry and create a circus that Jerry's not trying to create that's a fact now we can go back to the list everybody has for their own list that are more realistic..Case closed
According to former Cowboys beat writer Jean Jacques Taylor who covered this team many years, about 90% of the time whenever we see the phrase “sources close to the situation”, it’s either Jerry or Stephen. They absolutely love to stir the media pot with rumors just to get in the news.]This isn't really saying anything ....." two sources close to the situation have SUGGESTED"
Hell, that could be me and you guessing.....
Exactly, Deion is not really interested in working for Jerry. He’s using him as a bargaining chip for Colorado to up the ante. Great strategory. .Smart play by Prime. Use it as leverage.
Deion and Jerry are doing each other favors. Deion gets a fat raise in Colorado and Jerry gets headlines for a week. Parcells said it best “consider yourself sucked”.
No. I will hate that hire until the day he leaves. I didn't like him at Fla St and never will.

I agree, but this is Dallas and all these stories get blown up and I'm OK if they do hire him literally if he gets the right offensive coordinator the right defensive coordinator and the right staff you know what Sam most of these head coaches jobs are to lead and after everything make sure they're delegating properly and have the right people under them...Deion to Dallas just feels more like a video game than it actually happening. I think the door is slightly cracked open, so wouldn't say never, but if you take Deion's words at face then he won't be coaching here.
