As a RFA in 25 does it seem likely he returns do the Cowboys hold all the cards and what kind of substantial raise is he in for . As 2022 UDFA he cost next to nothing on the old contract .

Obviously the Cowboys have to bring him back so his agent should have some leverage.
Whoever coaches this team needs to get him the ball .

Turpin is an above average (really good) kick returner who’s a very undersized WR with a very limited ability to run routes relegating him to a gadget player in your offense. After 3 seasons his routes have only improved marginally and lead to the interception in the end zone by Branch during the Lions game that led to Aikman subsequently mentioning the poor team WR routes the following week. You try to bring him back for his kick return abilities but I wouldn’t drastically overpay if some other team wants to do so. If someone does then give Cropper his shot!

Prince , KM’s buddy has been WR position coach for several years. A prime example like Solari at OL , coaches that need to go .
Maybe a different WR coach helps the entire position .

Same with Lunda Wells at underwhelming TE .

I like Turpin, we actually used him in the offense last season and would love to see more. Tender is around 5 million, to me that's worth it, but if a team came in and gave him a higher offer I would gladly take the 2nd rounder.

How does an UDFA equate to a 2nd rounder if you lose him ? Never understood that formula . I know when Dallas gets comp picks most of them are a deck of cards with all 5th round on them.

2nd would be spectacular for 2026 I take it .

HE WANTS TO BE more than just a return guy he's leaving if he can

He's a restricted free agent where Dallas can put a 2nd round tender on him. Gives him a 1 yr deal with Dallas, but if a team signs him to more, then Dallas gets a 2nd. Pretty much would assure he returns.

$5.217 million. 28 years old. No team is giving up a 2nd for him. It comes down to is he worth it to the Cowboys.

Price has been a coach since 1989. An NFL WR coach since 2014 and has now been hired by the Dolphins.
I’d think it’s more likely that Turpin is what he is and has reached his ceiling!

Out of the backfield on sweeps even between the tackles this year he’s gashing the D . Now it’s up to 4 and the OC to go downfield more often next season

Depends on the price tag. Not sure Stephen has that kind of cap space for a gadget player. Sure he's a great return man, but teams simply won't kick to him and he's not much of a threat on offense so.

If he's smart he bails - he deserves better than this ***** show.

Did Prince go to the Dolphins ? I’m surprised McDaniel went there . Lamb is who he is one of the best and I thought Tolbert took a step forward other then that the position underwhelmed .

No one is giving a second round tender, I would make it a third, sure he's a great kick returner, how many of those get returned? He's a very limited receiver and shines more due to how bad our receivers suck outside of Lamb.
