Is Dak the only super greedy QB in Cowboys history?

Romo was never the highest paid ever. And was 10x the QB Dak will ever be.
Absolutely.

Give Dak credit. He and his agent pulled off the biggest sales/con job in NFL history. While Jerry was puling out his wallet, even he had to admire the hubris. Which is probably why Jones likes him so much.

It's rather kicking a dead horse at this point, but everyone knows there are AT LEAST six QBs any of us would trade for Dak in hot minute.

yes he was
When he signed his $108 million extension it made him the 5th highest paid QB in 2013.

Had Dak accepted the 5th highest last year we would have saved $7 million per season ($53 million, 11.7% cheaper). That 7 million per, if given to someone else, would be the 10th highest paid player on this year's team.

Not blaming Dak, but he isn't worth either of those 2 numbers IMHO. Especially since, as shown above, it's not just costing the team an overpaid player (Dak) but also another above average starter somewhere else on the team.

Those numbers are a little misleading, at least according to Grover Norquist's Americans for Tax Reform. The group has seized upon Romo's deal to bolster its anti-tax message, arguing that, after taxes, Romo's salary actually tops that of Flacco, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and every other player in the league.
