Is Dak the only super greedy QB in Cowboys history?

I'll take Romo 10 times out of 10 over Dak.
And be nowhere closer to a conference championship game.

It's some pretty sad times around here when a topic evolves onto.....Which one failed the least.

Which topic would be more appropriate when discussing Romo and Prescott? We could discuss how they both had ample opportunities. They were both busdrivers who were given, quite often, Pro Bowl laden lines, All Pro receivers, league leading RB's and top ten defenses.

It is a true, factual, statement to say that, during the five seasons of 2006-2010, Tony Romo's O-line had more combined Pro Bowl seasons than any other team at the time.

They could have thrown for a million yards and a thousand TD's during the regular season. I'm still looking for the next Staubach/Aikman. Quarterbacks are only remembered when they wear the ring.

Prescott played for four years being paid less than $2.2 million per season. Doesn’t seem that greedy.

Also, this is how it works in a capitalist system, like any of us would give a billionaire millions of dollars?

Isnt the big difference that at least Romo signed a SIX YEAR contract. Dak's latest contract wasnt so much about the money, it was about the fact it was only for FOUR YEARS. When we add the deferred $40m and that at 35 years of age there's a chance the whole bill gets paid in 2028, there's no flexibility .....especially for the woefully unimaginative Jones'.

Those numbers are a little misleading, at least according to Grover Norquist's Americans for Tax Reform. The group has seized upon Romo's deal to bolster its anti-tax message, arguing that, after taxes, Romo's salary actually tops that of Flacco, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and every other player in the league.
Lol so youre going to go by net after tax...OK that's fine. Just makes Faks deal even worse. He's highest paid already but the tax advantage makes the gap between him and actually great qbs even bigger.

I dont think your Headline is actually supported by the clip. For the sake of transparency, that video's commenting, not on his October 2007 (6 year contract), as Parcells (who's clearly mentioned in the clip) wasnt HC in Oct 2007, but it sounds as if Jerry is threatening to sit Romo during his 2005-7 Back-up QB deal. Romo gave him a figure that he'd sign......that's a negotiation where both win. Romo got paid $2.3m in 2026 (2.3% CAP hit, making him the 23rd highest paid QB and over a million less that Bledsoe).

Understood. Used this video because I couldn't find any video when Romo and his agent did demand top overall pay and received the 2nd highest NFL contract in 2011 with his 6 year / $108 million contract, but arguably highest grossed pay after taxes paid considering Texas has no state income tax.

He had to, he was on a rookie contract. Dak is greedy and not worth the money he makes.

Absolutely.

Give Dak credit. He and his agent pulled off the biggest sales/con job in NFL history. While Jerry was puling out his wallet, even he had to admire the hubris. Which is probably why Jones likes him so much.

It's rather kicking a dead horse at this point, but everyone knows there are AT LEAST six QBs any of us would trade for Dak in hot minute.
So you’re saying Dak is, roughly, the 7th best WB in the league? That’s a compliment if you ask me.

Romo and Dak have both had their share of problems getting to the top of their games. Both got paid generously by Jerry but that's what QBs do -- some more than others. Jerry didn't have to pay them what he did but he's a sucker for those he's a fan of. And so it goes, without any letup!

Based on the simple notion that most of his supporters can't say anything negative about him or except other people critiques of him. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that, that is not normal. ;) And well some of his followers do take it very personal -- any critique.
And those who critique him do so in a very personal way as well.

Doesn't matter. They both couldn't get it done. The difference is, Romo was entertaining at least, Dak is just annoying.
So you liked the constant scrambling in the pocket which many times ended up in costly turnovers, over the more standard quieter performance in the pocket but who could pick up more yards and half the amount of turnovers?

Two different issues. He is worth the money he makes? No. Is he greedy? No. 99% of people want to make as much money as they can in their career. Very likely, including you. The job of an agent is to get as much as he can for his client. Don’t blame Dak; blame the GM. He didn’t have to pay it.

The thing is that we have an owner/gm son that is cheap and does not know how to work the cap. JJ could have signed Dak earlier in his career but waited because he was getting a top QB (at least at the time) for under a million a year. Could have gotten him cheaper than wentz but waited. Then did the same again. Now runs around saying he can’t afford anyone else cause Dak took all the money. Get someone who knows how to work the cap and stagger contracts . Amazing how egirls can stay in every year.

Nah, Dak is only on the verge of breaking all of Romo's franchise passing records, ending with better stats and with less games played, plus much lesser turnovers committed.
