How many MVPs Antonio got?
As many as Dak. Please note, I find it pitiful for people to think that runner up to MVP is some kind of badge of honor that should be sewn onto Dak. You talking about an award that has no second place. It's like the only one who cares about runner up to a spelling bee is someone's Parent. The only one who cares about "runner up" to MVP are those who are labeled as Daksters. The people who live vicariously through him.

Super greedy?

Dak started for four years on a 4th round rookie contract, averaging $680,000 a year.

During that time, he never miossed a single game. He started all 64 regular season games, with the team going 40-24. He made two Pro Bowls, averaged 3994 yards and 24 passing TD's a season. He also averaged 330 rushing yards and 5 TD's per season.

Meanwhile, Jared Goff, the #1 overall pick in the same draft as Dak, averaged 3553 yards and 22 TD's per season on his rookie contract, an average of 6.9 million dollars, more than ten times Dak's contract at the same time.

I'm guessing that Dak felt very strongly that some other player should be willing to offer a discount.

I'm not saying he should have been given his most recent contract. I'm saying he has that contract due to Jerry's incompetence and not his "super greed".

You think people live vicariously through Dak? Based on what? And he was a runner up. Some people think he had better stats than Lamar. I think Romo in 2014 and Dak in 2023 deserve to be praised. Runner ups or not.

Romo aint better than Dak. Just stop. Dak has more win and similar or better stats than Romo. And Dak was runner up in MVP voting something Romo wasn’t even close to doing.
There are NO NFL gurus who would take Dak over Tony. None of them. We are talking about all time great HOF players like Troy, Brady, Brees, Manning, or old QBs like Bradshaw, Montana, Marino, Elway, or coaches like Jimmy, Tuna, Cowher, and Belichick. We’ve had this argument a hundred times in here. All those people said at one point or another Tony is third in line behind Staubach and Troy.

Based on the simple notion that most of his supporters can't say anything negative about him or except other people critiques of him. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that, that is not normal. ;) And well some of his followers do take it very personal -- any critique.

Because Romo has neurons that fire.

Dak is the greediest player in cowboys history, position is irrelevant. And Jerral bent over and took it.
A better owner would have made a more prudent deal. France clearly understood how stupid Jerry Jones is and took advantage of him. France realized no matter what his client got paid he would be blamed for the Cowboys’ failures, all of which are the result of a stupid owner, not the quarterback. For that, he got Dak the money to offset how unfairly he’d be treated by fans. Here we are, faulting Dak for getting a lucrative contract, coming out ahead when everything else “Cowboys” is falling behind while being forced to accept Jerry Jones as a necessary evil.

People running with that "runner up in MVP voting" is so cringe. I guess it'll do as a fine replacement for anything of importance, and serve as a great highest achievement for the highest paid player in the NFL.
