Deone Walker

The guy has been my pet cat from the beginning of this year. He can play NT but he is simply too tall to play it all the time. I think he could be a monster at 3T. But his fall off this year, not so much in stats though it clearly was, but in making big plays. Now maybe that is because the OL double and triple teamed him this year but I have to wonder. Still if we got him I would not complain at all. I heard their might be questions on his motor; taking plays off, and that would be a red flag.
 
I would love to see him fall to Dallas in the 2nd but after this week and the combine I think he is going to shoot up draft boards.

The highlights are great…but there’s also a whole bunch of bad tape of Walker. If he can play with effort and lower pad level consistently he should be very good. There was a lot of standing straight up at the line and getting stuffed he will have to eliminate at the NFL though

Have heard a lot about how bad his pad level is and how he constantly stands straight up off the snap.

I’d have a hard time taking him in the 2nd considering the quality of players I think will be available there.

yeah, he is so big and strong he could get away with it in college but not the pros. comes down to how coachable he is and how much he wants to be the best that he can be. Sadly, there is still no way to unscrew the top of a prospects head and look inside.
 
LOL the first clip feels like a kid playing Madden with a create a player.

Seeing Walker on the edge, and looking good is indeed a scary sight.
