Astoundingly accurate echo for many fans! Maybe because it's obvious?

"The mess of a year couldn't have been a surprise to those paying attention. It began with a disaster of an offseason where the front office decided it was better to wait and sign their best players to extensions until training camp. That mistake was compounded by the team deciding to not participate in free agency while allowing many of their own free agents to walk out the door."

"It was a disappointing offseason that was made worse by Jerry Jones' "all-in" comments. Savvy fans knew better than to believe the Cowboys were going to spend money and be aggressive in acquiring talent since it would've signaled a major change in organizational philosophy, but it was something that followed the team around for months leading up to the regular season."

Sound familiar?

I feel this team and its owner is a perfect business mgmt course to hold at a university. The individual case studies that bounce back and forth from ego, hubris to decision making could be a lifetime lesson for all leaders in success, failure and strategic leadership.

You think that was bad, another "all-in" off season from the FO and next season will be more miserable and a year from now we will be sitting on a top 5 pick in the draft.
Never fear, Jerry has been reading the thoughts that we've been sharing.......

The title made me think it was heading towards a bright future, but I guess the takeaway is supposed to be that it can't get any worse?

I really dont know what anyone really expects anymore.

Other teams aggressively try to get better while the two clowns try to save money, leave major holes if they can’t find a bargain, and end up forced to overpay to keep their jersey sellers and the revenue flowing as they watch leaves fall.

Not good at this.

what is the difference between 2024 and the other 29 years?

Chapter 1: Dunning-Kruger
Chapter 2: Wrapping Up

exactly whats the difference? Jerry's all in comments ? this is a cowboy fans reality with Jerry. I love the AI Jerry presser on Mccarthy and and his AI presser on Steven being the only one dumber than him. They may be AI but they are spot on
Hilarious!

People used to do a few things like that with just regular voices. But AI Jerry takes the cake!

jerry loves to build pseudo competitive teams. it gets interest from both sides of the aisle, both yay sayers and nay sayers (haters). gets the most publicity and publicity is good for cowboys. more free airtime for Jerry jones

Oh I dunno. I couldn't find the articles for all those other years. Just today's pop-up regarding 2024.
don't worry about it. its the same **** over and over again. like ground hog day
I already know what happens in 2025. more of the same as the other 29 years.

It was not a "tunnel", merely one section of an underground labyrinth that is Jerry Jones's tenure as GM.

It's like all the GM's got together and decided to prank Jerry.

"You know, Jerry, we all pretty much agree that the RB position isn't that valuable with the trend being elite passing offenses."

The Cowboys had opportunities to draft legitimate NFL talent at RB during the last two drafts and they sat on their butts. The two best RB's last season were free agents looking for a team and the Cowboys looked the other way.

Also, it has long been Jerry Jones's draft policy to treat QB prospects like lepers. In the past 28 seasons, he has drafted a QB in the top three rounds once. On a regular basis, he has made it practically impossible to replace the starting QB. Some teams draft a QB every other year, even if their present QB is a Pro Bowler.

Jerry Jones ignored the fact that he was missing two starting O-linemen before the start of the season. A veteran free agent in one of the positions could have made the line far more effective at the beginning of the season when they were struggling so much.

Add this to the injuries and contract distractions involving both players and coaches and you get this formula for complete destruction before the season even began.
