Trade Down and Still Get Jeanty

The four teams picking right after the Cowboys already have a starting RB and do not need to add one. The fourth team, Arizona, picking at 16, is my target. Using the draft capital chart their pick is worth 1000 pts. Number 12 is worth 1200. Arizona's 3rd round pick is worth 190 so we could conceivably move back to 16, pick up another third and still get Jeanty or something like Green, Barron, Warren or Egbuka. I would love to get the extra third and still get Jeanty. Of course, this is contingent on Arizona wanting to trade up to get someone. What say you?

I don't want Jeanty personally. The only way I'd be pleased w/ it is in a trade down, so I'm not opposed.

Jeanty will be gone before the 12th pick. No need to worry about it.

No issues with a trade down scenario, I think the Cowboys have enough needs where its a pretty safe bet. I'm skeptical that Jeanty is available in a trade down scenario though. A lot of hype has started about him maybe not making it past the Bears at #10.

someone might trade down to get him as well. I have not seen a reputable draft site that has him rated out of the top 10
now if he does not shine at the combine it could happen

Good point...the rest of the league has the ability to make trades as well.

Imo if they make any trade for a HB its most likely moving up from their 2nd for Hampton

If somehow Jeanty did fall to 12, teams would be trading up to get him as he is a top 5 prospect in this year's class, despite the position he plays.

Him or Johnson. I think Jeanty goes in the top 10.
Ya, it really hard to tell who is going to end up being the 2nd HB off the board. I think we may have to move up to get the 3rd. I think you could see another HB going late day 1, with the 3rd going within the first 10 picks of day 2

You trade down for a tier of players…..because its unknown who will be there

You trade up on draft day for specific players

Every team in the league knows the Cowboys will take Jeanty at 12. That's why another team will trade up to pick 11 and take him right out of our laps. I can see a scenario where every RB goes off the board right before we pick like the last 2 drafts.

If he falls to 12 no team can trade ahead of us for him.

I guess every team in the league knows Jethro. And they also know that he can be about as predictable as a crazed ferret.
