With the rumors of McMillan dropping in the draft I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys see what happens there before making any FA moves at WR.
Yeah but what about his 450 yards in 15 games, lol26 targets in his rookie year.
Thats a starter to you?
WOW!
I’d still bring in a vet like Keenan AllenWith the rumors of McMillan dropping in the draft I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys see what happens there before making any FA moves at WR.
No argument from me on that, I would love to see it, but that isnt how Jerry seems to operate these days. I would guess its one or the other with Turpin/Tolbert/Mingo rotating in.I’d still bring in a vet like Keenan Allen
Lamb, Tet and Allen is nice
Mix matters. No argument from me on that, I would love to see it, but that isnt how Jerry seems to operate these days. I would guess its one or the other with Turpin/Tolbert/Mingo rotating in.
Okay, who?My suggested strategy at this point is to sign a healthy #2 WR as a free agent, to spare us the need to draft one in rounds 1 and 2, whose slots must be used to draft a bell cow RB and a strong DT who can dominate at the point of attack. If targeting a RB in 2nd round, then trade down in 1st round and pick up an extra 3 and draft the best DT not from Michigan (Mason Graham will be long gone).
If Willie Hernandez a free agent guard wants to play in the big D, sign him, so that the two #3's can be used for a LB and a CB.
The free agent who makes the most sense and will be an immediate impact is MLB Nick Bolton of KC. The Boys need to open up their pocket books and get creative, as the fans are severely restless and have lost their confidence in the Cowboys' abilities in putting together a team to challenge for the big cup.
Mingo had 43 receptions in his rookie season with a rookie QB.26 targets in his rookie year.

The Cowboys aren't going to do anything in free agency. Remember, they traded a 4th for Johnathan Mingo and think that they already have the needed WR's in the room.I think the Cowboys are going to wait until Cooper Kupp is released. Then attempt to out bid teams for his services.
Absolutely, I just wish we were more proactive in upgrading positional depth and bringing in more competition for camp. Some positions they do a really good job at this and others not so much.Mix matters.
Sans McMillan this doesn't look like a strong top end WR class so finding your wr2 in free agency makes total sense. That wouldn't preclude me from drafting McMillan if he is there, but eliminates reaching for a WR earlier. My suggested strategy at this point is to sign a healthy #2 WR as a free agent, to spare us the need to draft one in rounds 1 and 2, whose slots must be used to draft a bell cow RB and a strong DT who can dominate at the point of attack. You don’t lose anything but money to sign Kupp and Adams. Both are probably on the Cowboys radar. The Cowboys aren't going to do anything in free agency. Remember, they traded a 4th for Johnathan Mingo and think that they already have the needed WR's in the room.
Sounds like coach Jones' master planThat sounds................ not too smart
i really like this strategy. My suggested strategy at this point is to sign a healthy #2 WR as a free agent, to spare us the need to draft one in rounds 1 and 2, whose slots must be used to draft a bell cow RB and a strong DT who can dominate at the point of attack.
