imagine Jerry doing this, never mind Jerry needs 30 minutes on 103.5 the fan, then another 45 minuites outside for the media crew that's waiting for him

Eagles have let a lot of talent go…pretty interesting
I don't think Slay and Rodgers are massive losses as they drafted two CBs last year and both look pretty good.

The DL losses, though, they looking interesting. But Roseman is 5 times the GM Jerry is so he's more likely to fix those holes and do so quickly than our boob of a GM who just signed a DT who can't stop the run and the 3rd string TB from Denver.

We are killing it.

I agree, except the 2 they drafted aren't pretty good, they are both exceptional.
Still you need 4 CB's today in the league, and the Eagles just lost 2 (actually 3 if you include Maddox), so they have now have a need there. Trading CJ also weakens their secondary.
I think their O is set (Green will replace Becton), and LB is solid with Baun resigning, but both the secondary and the DLine are needs for them now.
Howie is is a smart guy though. He has the draft and is likely saving some money to snag a few vets that become available later in FA.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them go DL and Edge in R1 and 2, then snag a vet pass rusher and a vet CB later in FA. That would solidify them.

THE MODS LOVE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They finally let my post go up first, Oh my gosh, every mod I owe you everything. Matter of fact, i'm taking a break from here, see you later!!!! (love these mods uhhh!)
Post or thread creation time stays the same whether they remain separate or merged.

You posted your thread at 9:34 am.

@Risen Star posted his thread at 9:35 am.

His thread was merged into your thread because you beat him to the punch by one minute.

Likewise, that means your thread would have been merged into his thread if he had posted his thread a minute or more before yours.

You beat the Likes Collector for once. That is a feat for most members since Risen is pretty freaking quick. Give yourself a pat on the back.

So, now you understand, yes? That was a rhetorical question by the way.

Eagles just getting in front of a potential mess instead of letting it slap them out of nowhere.
Ahead?
The cap hit for this season on
Kelce 12m retired
Cox 10m retired
Sweat 17m playing for cardinals now
Milton 4m playing for pats
Trying to do the math on Slays cap hit next year made my brain itch
The mess is starting to catch up!

Secondary is fine, Kelee Ringo (CB) & Sydney Brown (S) were drafted in 2023 to replace Slay & CJ.

When they start losing talent like Jalen Carter or Mitchel or Saquon then they should worry. Right now they still have a solid core intact.

This is what happens when you dont plan salary cap well. You end up losing good players. Stephen Jones should work for the Eagles since he knows how to cut costs down as a Management consultant during free agency.

Lol,
Sweat and Milton weren’t exactly chopped liver.
This game is one of attrition. They’ve been mind bogglingly lucky with injuries the last 2 seasons. What are the odds of that continuing?
That 40 plus million dead cap isn’t going away anytime soon!

Yes, they are just retooling. Their core is intact.
I was shocked at the Williams contract. He's really good, but Carter is obviously the franchise there, plus they have Davis and Ojomo, so paying up for a really good rotation guy made no sense. I think they'll go IDL in round 1 or 2, and they'll still have a really good rotation there. They understand how important it is.
They also still have cap available. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go IDL, Edge and secondary in the Draft, AND sign a vet at each position who may become available later in FA. uys always become available after the draft.
They kept Baun who they really valued, they solved their RG issue with the CJ trade for Green. Now they can take their time on the DLine and the secondary with the draft and FA with the money they have left.

Just proves that you can pay everyone. People like to chuckle at the eagles and say they don't have a cap. Well, moves like this are quickly forgotten. The truth is that Howie churns the roster every year and make calculated decisions about who he wants to bet on. They lost a lot of talent on defense and that is okay b/c they have plenty to spare. They are still loaded on defense and aren't done yet.

run that by me again, too much of the proverbial word salad!!!

I gotcha, I'm on cloud 9 right now, uhh you can't bring me down if you tried

Eagles are set on offense except that they will draft a TE. Steen and Green will fight it out for the RG position if Becton leaves.

Howie has a load of picks now and will probably load up on defensive players. This is a deep d-line draft, and I'm guessing he drafts 4 edge/DT, another DB, one o-line, and be guided by the principle of BPA.
