Eagles S C.J. Gardner Johnson traded to Texans

There is no pretending the Eagles have not lost significant personnel. Like the Cowboys, they are not as good right now as they were 24 hours ago. If Roseman is some sort of genius, and if Sirianni is what his gaudy resume indicates he might be, they’re going to get a chance to prove it this season. With the schedules facing all four NFCE teams this season, the Eagles may very well miss the playoffs. The Commanders are much better than they were 24 hours ago. And they want financing for a new stadium.
But the Eagles are set up to soften the blow. Ojomo (sp??) played well in that d-line rotation and will take Williams spot. Bradberry is cooked anyway-all of us know this. Maybe moving off of Slay is making the move one year early instead of one year too late, a la Belichek--how many 34-year old corners are in the league? They have Ringo to step in, the guy AJ Brown says gives him fits every practice. I guess he gets a shot at starting, and I think they still have Sydney Brown, whose issue is health. I can't get a read on CJGJ--I think he's a very good player but seems to wear out his welcome everywhere he plays. The guard the Eagles got from the Texans was a bust, but so was Becton. Maybe a year in Stoutland University fixes him. The Eagles also have another Aussie Samoan rugby player on the practice squad going the Jordan Mailata route. They have a lot of picks in a deep DL draft.

Eagles lost talent, but they seemed set to take the blow and keep competitive. They locked in their AP linebacker and made sure Barkley is happy. I think the bigger issue is losing more coordinators. This is a weird fact I got from an Eagles fan: Jalen Hurts, going back to his college days, has never has the same offensive coordinator two years in a row. That's crazy.

As for the schedule...NFCE has brutal schedules. I don't think the Giants win more than two games next season if they don't improve that roster. Eagles and Washington will have to fight to reach 11 wins. There's now a full year of tape on Daniels. We might be able to sneak in and make it a three-way race for the division next season--go ahead, call me a dreamer.

They’re vulnerable. Samoan rugby players and Ringo notwithstanding, the Eagles have work to do rebuilding their roster. Sydney Brown is legit when he’s not on injured reserve. Nonetheless, Philly needs to add talent, including a solid running back behind Barkley. And Goedert, well, I suspect the Eagles will try to move up in the first to get Warren. That’s going to cost a lot of assets. It’s the kind of stuff Roseman pulls that puts new wrinkles in the team’s offense. Dallas and Philadelphia are chasing Washington now. No disrespect to the defending champions.

The Eagles won the Super Bowl. They aren’t chasing anyone, lol. They still have a better roster than Washington, and certainly better than ours.

They drafted Will Shipley last year, he’ll take over for Gainwell.
I don’t see them trading up for Warren. Grant Calcaterra was serviceable last year and Goedert is still under contract through this season.

Shipley had juice in his limited time. I am excited to see more of him. That and Barkley really doesn’t come out a lot. I agree, I don’t think they add a veteran because I think they want ship to take that spot. Shipley at 2 and they will add a late draft pick/undrafted/practice squad guy will be number 3.

As for the draft, I think DT,Edge,TE will be the top 3 picks in what ever order.

Eagles would never draft a TE in the first round. Theyre prelates of positional value
