saving it for Aaron Rodgers
All fine if it’s tied into some sort of rebuild plan, but it isn’t. Either you’re trying to win now or you’re not. These two probably think they can pull off some middle ground thing.LOL yacht fuel. I think it's a little cheaper since it's really just the first round pick. But either way, they have to do something this year. They have done nothing but tread water as usual. The plan they have been using for over a decade now doesn't win championships.
Then again, it could be money to carry over to fit in some future big cap hits.
Are they out on spring break???? Why no more signings - get another cb and wr signed. Best dl/de available would be good too.
Have they signed the best available at any position so far?Are they out on spring break???? Why no more signings - get another cb and wr signed. Best dl/de available would be good too.
We have a lot of guys that need extensions that are going to cost a lot of cap space. Micah alone is going to eat up 42+M. We also need to extensions for Deron Bland and Tyler Smith both of whom are looking at 20+M per.Are they out on spring break???? Why no more signings - get another cb and wr signed. Yep.We have around $30 million in usable cap space right now. When Parsons contract is done, that number will actually go up.
Problem is there is no one left in FA that is really worth serious cap money.
NOW if we could trade for someone with a big cap hit, it would be worth it.
But you know this brain dead FO will not do anything.
They technically could just sign their draft picks and carry forward the rest to re-sign players like Bland and Tyler Smith next year. Are they out on spring break???? Why no more signings - get another cb and wr signed. Best dl/de available would be good too.
Especially Aubreywell, if nothing else, I would lock up CB Bland, K Aubrey to extensions now while it would be cheaper
Good stuffYeah I was thinking exact same thing but was listening to Jeff Cavenagh explain that if they sign or trade for a guy for an amount of over 3.5mill per year to replace a guy that they lost, they then lose any compensary pick they may have gotten had they just lost the guy to free agency to another team.
The deadline for that is the date of the draft. So basically after the draft, this is no longer in effect and they can sign whomever they want without losing comp picks.
So obviously Cowboys, as well as other teams, will wait til after the draft to sign free agents they think will make it.
.
Defensive TackleAt this point, probably waiting until the draft is over.
There isn't much going on league wide.
20M for the rollover.Rumblings are they wanna trade for courtland Sutton. If they do, they would need to pay him. Plus, they are working on Micah deal. Whatever they don't use, they may be wanting to roll it over to 2026.
This20M for the rollover.
Plus they have to pay the draft class.
Draft class is around 6-10 million. Extend Micah and that’s pocket change at this point20M for the rollover.

Extending Micah adds to the cap, not takes away from it.Draft class is around 6-10 million. Extend Micah and that’s pocket change at this point
Sorry that’s what I meant.Extending Micah adds to the cap, not takes away from it.
