Snow White

I disagree with that. If I recall in the original, the Queen was very beautiful, but she wasn't as pretty in comparison to Snow White and couldn't handle it. Take that with a grain of salt though. I haven't seen the original since I was very little. They should have been more careful with casting though and cast an actress that was prettier for Snow White, or one night quite as pretty for the Queen. But both should have been pretty. Gal Gadot was certainly a miscast as she's far prettier than Rachel Zegler. But that wasn't the message they were trying to present. They changed the definition of "fairest" for this version.
Ehhh….

Ain’t no Gal Gadot lol…..like I said above both are beautiful women but first thing you notice when you see the trailer is Gal Gadot is too pretty for this role. It doesn’t bother me but I do remember those complaints but they were far harsher. They were talking about Ziegler looks and I’m not gonna go that far she’s not a ugly woman at all.

In the Original Brothers Grimm tale, of which the Disney animation was based, the Evil Queen is described as a "proud and arrogant" woman with exceptional beauty who marries the King following the death of his first wife, Snow White's mother. You can't base beauty based on an animator's interpretation all that well. You also have to go with the spoken description. For several years, even the magic mirror describes the queen as the fairest.

Zegler isn't ugly, but she's not beautiful either. Gadot is far prettier, which was a casting mistake for either part.

Also the fact that Gal Gadot can not act at all. I haven't seen the movie but I guarantee she doesn't even pull off the expression in that picture at anytime in the movie.

second weekend down 66.3%
and finished SECOND to A Working Man

From $42 million to $14 million

This film will probably struggle to make $200 million world wide
Break even point is at least $600 million

I think she does a good job as Wonder Woman but yeah her acting chops I can’t say are as good as her looks lol

still did a better job then RZ did

I don't even know who RZ is. Is that the person playing Snow White? They must have been terrible because to outdo Gal in the bad acting department would be a feat.
Rachel Ziegler.

From what I've heard, her singing was actually good, but her acting was mediocre.

I've seen a few sources who say Gal Gadot's acting was wooden. It's a shame, because I really like her, and she seems like a sweet person.

well, what can I say? you must have watched that movie with sunglasses on and wearing ear phones.

Ya she is about as stiff as a cardboard box, but with looks like that who cares.

Snow White? I haven't seen it and don't plan to haha. I was talking about Gal's bad acting in every other movie. I now know who RZ is but I still can't judge her acting because I've never heard of her until this movie.

so you have seen every movie Gal Gadot is in?

It has always been a musical even before the movie was created.
Actually, it was a novel first and was way more gruesome. I think the sister was missing her arms and legs? Like she was basically just a torso. And the affair at the beginning of the story was not consensual if you get my drift. Then it was eventually turned into a Broadway play and became a musical and was toned way down. Then eventually the movie that came out last year. Which BTW musicals are not really my thing but my wife wanted to watch it with me and I really enjoyed it. 9/10 would recommend

As far as snow white.. Something I haven't seen brought up yet, or maybe I missed it. The CGI looks so bad. Like CGI in a lot of movies these days look like crap. Kind of takes you out of the experience. I much preferer practical effects. Which brings me back to Wicked. It uses very little CGI and a lot of practical effects! Ok, I'll stop talking about it now. Carry on with your regular scheduled programming

I really don't get how badly CGI has regressed. I guess the penny pinchers won't let them use the good CGI companies. Maybe it's that or they switched to AI-assisted and it's still "catching up" to what was done before with people doing the work? I don't know.

so you have seen every movie Gal Gadot is in?
Most of them yeah because almost all of them are in my demographic. Superhero movies and action movies. Looking at Rachel Zegler's movie list...Yeah none of them are in my demo so without Snow White I could have went forever not knowing who she is.

'Snow White' becomes Disney's worst-performing live-action remake in nearly 10 years

The film’s page on IMDB.com calls the movie "officially a flop," and says its $205.5 million earnings are "miles behind its massive $410 million total cost," including marketing, production, and other items. The site calls the film's disappointing performance "a financial blow which few expected to be this severe, especially with the losses already estimated at over $115 million, per Collider."

I would have thought "ever" would be more accurate, but I'm not a Disney live action remake connoisseur.

I think the biggest issue with movies like Snow White there is such an ingrained expectation that you either have to deviate far enough from the source material that it will be compared to the original or you have to be pretty true to the source material so nostalgia brings in new and old audiences like mothers and grandmothers taking their daughters and granddaughters to see it.
