The Case For Tre Harris

I don't have anything to bring to this debate about this particular player but I can tell you what you just described as also a risk with TET McMillan or whatever the hell his name is...

Hear me out, this guy right now is being hyped up as a great 50-50 ball guy don't worry about him being slow, because he can out jump anyone, he'll be great in the red zone,

but they don't talk about his route running, they don't talk about him getting very small separation right now in college and what is that going to do in the pros against better DBS?

sometimes even the draft can fall in love with a player because of his size, yeah but his size also needs to come with speed or separation or route running something else besides the fact that he's Michael Gallup or a poor man's Dez Bryant..

because right now Dez Bryant at least coming out of college we knew he could run and he had a lot of good moves, meaning he can return punts and he can at least get open, if he didn't know that many routes, he got better with time, but I'm not sold on TET, I just am not I don't see how he's being hyped up over golden at #12 because I would take golden at 12 just as easily..

You calling this guy Michael Gallup it's just reminds me of how blind some people are because that's how I see TET.. Granted ,I didn't break down a bunch of film, and I didn't see any of his games which is also weird and I never heard of the guy, and I know I'm a Longhorn fan and the SEC/big12 guy ,and maybe I just didn't hear about him because he was on a bad team in Arizona, but that's also a red flag to me that the only time I heard this guy's name come up was when the combine/pre-draft ,mock drafts started...

And yes, I realized that players can come from small schools or relatively unheard of like Terrell Owens or it can be slow like Jerry Rice but you have to have something more than size tell me what else this guy brings besides a jump ball 5050 guy just getting out leap A DB..

And again, I'm not claiming to be an expert I just thought the ironing here of you saying this guy that we're talking about here and Trey Harris reminds you of Michael Gallup and not worth 12 and I'm sitting here thinking the same thing about Tet..

You pick a guy at 12 he needs to be a day one starter in my opinion he needs to be able to line up on the opposite side of lamb and doesn't need a lot of time to adjust to the NFL. That's how I see most first rounders especially at 12 especially when there's other players there that can be as dynamic or more dynamic like golden we don't have to worry about golden because again when you go to the NFL against stiffer competition you need to have more to lose meaning because of your speed and your route running and your ability to get separation even if you lose some of that you still are gonna adjust to the NFL better because you have more to lose I don't think TET has more to lose someone needs to convince me....
I agree 100%. McMillan is fools gold. I would not select him with a 5th round pick. Slow, bad route runner, not quick into or out of his breaks, really just looks like height is his only skill. I didn't see a great or even good WR in watching him. He is not a draft pick I would select.

Never heard of him. What team?
Ole Miss. I like him. He looks like an NFL WR. He’s an X receiver. He has great hands and uses his size to box guys out in the red zone masterfully. He’s a savvy player.

He is not incredibly fast or big or quick. He isn’t very explosive. There are much more athletic WRs in this draft. He is great at coming down with 50/50 balls and Prescott is not really the type of QB who loves throwing those.

Thanks.
Sounds like a late day 3 pick to me.

Late 2nd to 3rd round WR, and Dallas already has their Ole Miss WR quota.

Look man I'm not going to hate on you but your posts are just way over the top you go from 1 extreme to the other this guy you're hyping up probably not worth the first round pick probably better in the third round but I don't know because I never really research it but now you're moving TET down to the fifth round that's extreme dude you can't hover to the extremes with your opinions, you have to have some kind of middle ground in your debates..

All I said is at 12 I'm not totally sold on tet ,don't know a lot about him, but I haven't heard anything that tells me he should be at 12 others than he's big and can jump.

But the Cowboys need a day one starter and I'm also not taking some guy I never heard of in Tre Harris not at 12 not in the first round..

I'd rather have Matthew golden but I'm a Longhorn fan and maybe I'm slanted but this dude's 30 lbs heavier than Xavier worthy and almost runs just as fast, he can catch in traffic, he can get open, don't know why people have a problem with him going #12...

MY possibles at 12, should they be there; Will Johnson, Barron, Golden, AJ-rb(no RB at 12 is smart for the DC, but ill excuse this one-BPA)-- DT-either Graham or Nolan, Abdul carter(i know slim chance), yes S.Sanders(hate all you want) ,edge rush-maybe Mike Green or M.Williams, and

maybe TET.. That's because a whole lot of mocks say he should be in the mix...

Let’s take 4th round WR at 12 brilliant.
Jerry can prove how much smarter he is than the rest of the like he did with safety in the 2nd that never played or the sack artist that was Pepi Zellner!

Watch the tape. He's big, fast, runs hard after the catch, plays physical, will go up and get the high ball, can take the top off the defense. Makes big plays, and plays the game with high energy and tempo. He's a rare Size, speed, and skill combination. Again, Alvin Harper/Jerry Rice type of body and skills when they were in college. I firmly believe Tre Harris will be another Justin Jefferson style star WR in the NFL.

I like the player, but will she stay available? Hehe hehe...in my Parcells voice. May Terry Glenn rest in peace.

Yeah not an important position at all. Right up there with fullback and punter
I understand the need for a RB, but if we are not getting Jeanty (who is special) the rest of the RB's are just like guys we currently have. I'd rather start Duece Vaughn and Javonte Williams.

I'm saying if the pick is going to be a WR, Tre Harris imo is better than all of them.

Thinking surrounding dak with multiple all pro receivers will help him in the playoffs when teams rush 4 and play zone for starters
All-pro? I’m just looking for a suitable #2. None of our guys fit the bill and I’m pretty sure a 2nd or 3rd rounder won’t help much either. I think Golden is the perfect pick for this team. I don’t want Will Johnson and Jeanty will be gone.
