Tyron Smith thanks Dak Prescott for being his QB1 and a friend

That was just so beautifully said.

It was poetic and yet such a teachable message

None of us have done anything as heroic and as important as this football player has accomplished.

To the fans here that are Fire Fighters, policemen, Surgeons, military , Aircraft pilots and other less brave or important occupations, your accomplishments just don't weigh up against this man

Thank you for putting them in their places.

Perspective
Assuming these individuals are selfless and have the courage to be firefighter, policemen, surgeons, etc is wild. I’d be very shocked.

This team wasted two HOF offensive lineman with Smith and Martin. They were good enough to start on the 90s Cowboys squad. Sad just sad if you ask me.
Sad both made millions and both re-signed with Dallas numerous times…..nothing sad about it it they had a great life.

I just...
so many of you, who have won nothing of any significance on this level, holler so loudly over a man who has had an outstanding career at the pinnacle of what he does.

I don't get it.
I just don't get it.

Let's see your rings.
Let's see what you have done.

Maybe we can weigh that. Maybe we can see how far you've gone in respect to him and what he's done.
Perfectly said.

Really thought we had the making of an offensive juggernaught with Tyron, Zack, TFred, and Zeke and Dak that first year. If you had told me then the team would never sniff an NFC Championship I would have said you’re crazy. Everyone hopefully appreciated Tyron a lot more after watching last season. Dominant LTs don’t grow on trees. True physical freak and monster of a man.

Did Dak help him get some lucrative ad deals or why is he praising him so much?

I mean its your presser. I know how this works. But come on. You dont need to exaggregate that way. We all know who Dak is. And for sure he is not what you are trying to tell us.

This is not even a nice try anymore. Thats too much of an obvious lie it will fire back.

There are many, many HOF talents that have come into the league in the past that hasn't won a ring and there will be many, many more HOF talents that will come into the league and won't win a ring.

There have been HOF talents at EVERY position on offense, defense, and special teams who haven't won a ring, you know why? Because this is still and always will be a TEAM game.

That's why it's laughable and quite dumb to blame ONE player at ONE position for the lack of TEAM success on a football TEAM. History has shown us all that even some of the greatest players in history as an INDIVIDUAL isn't enough to guarantee a Super Bowl ring.

LOL. What did Dak do for him? He came in the league five years before Dak and already earned his first mega-million contract prior to him. If anything, it was the 2014 season along with those two other all pros on the line that helped him garner that.

Sad a player of his caliber never got a SB ring.
There are hundreds and I mean hundreds in like the high hundreds all around the league all around decades if this happens anybody who uses Jerry Jones name all the time like this is some isolated incident let's take the recent Great players comments wanting to get out of Cleveland 'cause he wants to win they offered him more money he stayed this is a money thing this is about loyalty and comfort and players stay on teams knowing they're probably not going to win big and knowing that they're probably not going to get a ring but they still go to the Hall of Fame they still getting all the accolades you know there's not 32 teams full of players that are regularly going to make a Super Bowl or win a ring..

It's always stupid the whole Jerry wasted all these guys careers no they had a choice if they really wanted to leave they should have forced their way out not sign their big contracts they did it multiple times and I mean multiple times have stayed with the Cowboys too many players to list they're not trying to get out this is only the fans narrative that Jerry sucks to work for and that the Cowboys suck and the Cowboys are not relative and the Cowboys are a bad team no if they were truly bad they'd be called the Cleveland Browns or the New York Jets or held the Giants the team we beat like 14 straight times that's what bad looks like the Cowboys have fallen short yes but they have not been consistently bad in this league that's the problem they've hovered around good for a very long time they dip above it and below it every now and again but it is what it is....

Just go take a look at the Hall of Fame and then go look at how many of those guys at the say the top 20 at every one of their positions and I bet you could pick out a lot of players that don't have rings are we going to blame Dan Marino not having a ring on Jimmy Johnson?!!! because he was his coach, I mean my God the best GM and player whisperer of all time that somehow got away from Dallas didn't get Dan Marino his ring?!! how dare he...LOL

Assuming these individuals are selfless and have the courage to be firefighter, policemen, surgeons, etc is wild. I’d be very shocked.
Interesting.

Why would you be "shocked"? Are selflessness and courage such foreign concepts to you that you can't possibly understand how anyone else could possess those characteristics?

For millions of dollars. You guys do realize that the HOF is full of many great players who never won a SB, right?
The word many doesn't even touch on it we're talking about the high hundreds like I was trying to say the same thing I bet if you go look at the top 20 at every position in the Hall of Fame you're going to find a about half of them don't have rings..

The players understand this when they keep signing multiple contracts with the same team I mean they're choosing their destiny I know that sometimes they can get locked into teams with the rules but you can force your way off a team and Miles Gary is the most recent dude who claims he wanted to win but took the money....

I mean how can you feel bad for the players they're making millions of dollars they're have some choices of where they go if they end up with no ring it's typically not the ultimate goal for these players they had great careers they have a shot at Hall of Fame and as long as they feel accomplished the rings are a bonus to people's careers.

And I the the ironic thing is everyone blames Jerry for all this you know what Jerry didn't play on those fields how is it that all these players are pro bowlers all pros and all these Hall of Fame potential players were on the Dallas Cowboys teams and we didn't win that's a head scratcher.

And everyone points out it's Jerry not doing enough really because I saw who didn't show up in those games I saw the dropped interceptions and all the penalties and the dropped passes and the lack of blocking the lack of run games i've seen lack of defense bad coaching at the worst possible moments these teams have found a way to choke...

That is squarely on the players these players had great regular seasons and when the lights were shining the brightest they are the only ones to blame so they need to carry a mirror around and fans need to understand this..

If our teams are good enough to make the playoffs 5 out of the last eight years and then we can go back further than that,

Then those playoff caliber teams had the talent they didn't get it done when it mattered and I know there's some blame to the front office and the coaching and they picked the coaches and players but if they were good enough to win the division and make the playoffs and get a bye with Home fieldas 2 seed, and they get dominated by Green Bay that is not on Jerry Jones at that moment..

He literally put the talent on the field they didn't show up the talent did not show up... Could Jerry have done more sure we all know this we don't need to be reminded but I'm tired of everyone blaming Jerry for everything around here the coaches need to take the blame the players need to take the blame..

and in the end the refs need to take the blame dez caught it. LOL. :muttley: :lmao2:

And he was drafted at a young age. All that talent wasted by a mediocre franchise.
Now the players wasted their own talent the coaches are to blame the players are to blame you can't blame the owner and the GM when he put these players in positions to at least be good enough to win a division get in the playoffs be a number two seed at home and then get dominated..

Over the years we're talking about a lot of Hall of Fame players a lot of Pro Bowlers a lot of all pros on this team and they didn't get it done and you're blaming the GM and owner he could take some of the blame but I'm tired of this narrative jerry did not waste their careers they starting the contracts they stayed they knew what was coming and there are hundreds if not very high hundreds of players all around sports that don't win rings please shoot.

They literally don't all play for the Dallas Cowboys under Jerry Jones... I want to know how players mindset is look at what happened with Miles Garrett claiming he didn't want to be on a losing team anymore he wanted to be traded but they offered him $40 million he took it. HE chose to STAY.

Did Dak help him get some lucrative ad deals or why is he praising him so much?

What’s his incentive to lie for though? I didn’t think he said anything most guys wouldn’t say for their friend. I would think he has an idea of what type of friend Dak is as oppose to any of us.

Interesting.

No what I’m saying is I highly doubt someone who thinks suicide is funny and hatred are acts of people in those fields. Though it may be. I’m just willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’ve seen Pappys twitter…..he doesn’t strike me as a serviceman with something to lose.

I didn’t see it coming at all. Our ceiling was that 2016 year and I never saw that especially with Garrett as head coach.
