Tyron Smith thanks Dak Prescott for being his QB1 and a friend

You’re attempting to derail the thread which is fine I just don’t get why. Is it because you think it’s a Dak positive thread or because you want to be the voice of the “fans here”?
Only in your world is me responding directly to a comment you made somehow attempting to derail the thread.

Rabbit holing doesn't do you justice. It's more like a yard filled with moles. Holes and tunnels interconnected to form an extensive labyrinth of places to run, hide and escape.

I'll bring some grubs next time. I hear moles love grubs.

yeah. i'm assuming, which isn't particularly helpful or worth arguing over. just my interpretation. but the context is this thread, this convo, and shabazz extrapolating it when it was pretty obviously about a specific subsect. shabazz is a pot stirrer and likes to make absurd strawman posts to invoke just this kind of subsequent fall out.

i'll leave you two to it. i shouldn't have chimed in anyway lol
Understandable. I don't disagree. Except for the part about Shabazz. I've never seen him in that light, at least to an extent greater than most.

It's all just a matter of opinion and none of this really matters anyway. Cheers.

  Just stop. This isn’t a good look. Shabazz played you man…..just let it go.

LOL. What did Dak do for him? He came in the league five years before Dak and already earned his first mega-million contract prior to him. If anything, it was the 2014 season along with those two other all pros on the line that helped him garner that.
Obviously, you can't comprehend what he was saying. It was more than just being a QB.

right. but it's pretty important context. i'd love to have seen Tyron win a ring. As much as anybody. But my heart can only weep so much lol.
He had to retire...gave so many years here and Jerry didn't do him or Zach any parting favours

I admire your dedication and loyalty to the team, but (brace yourself for another one of those narratives) it's been almost 30 years since the Cowboys have sniffed an NFC Championship Game. It's a very weak argument to say that the thousands of players that have walked through the door are losers and are just here for the money. Moreover it was the FO's decision to sign and draft them, therefore a weak argument on both fronts if you're trying to protect Jerry Jones and the FO team.

Don't get me wrong, I still support the team and always will, but apathy has set in. I welcome a return to glory, but I'm certainly not expecting it.
DITTO YOU ARE, Wrong on All fronts on…nice how that works both directions…players and coaches are paid and hired to play/COACH their best in those situations AND THEY HAVE FAILED JERRY , THE FANS, AND THEMSELVES, NOT JERRY BEING BLAMED FOR THIS ..EQUAL BLAME SURE BUT POINTING AT JERRY IS TERRIBLE NARRATIVE.

UMM OKKK !! :facepalm::popcorn::oldcouple::laugh:

You all act like you've never grown up in the States and the culture around athletes.

We all know Dak is "hip" with his boys. Personal relationships and being an actual good QB are completely different things.

While your point is taken, how is your comment here not virtue signaling in it's own right?

There is two sides to that coin.
So if calling out virtue signaling is also virtue signaling, then that would mean your calling out of calling out of virtue signaling is also virtue signaling, isn't it?

So I'll see your two sides of that coin and raise you its outer rim (flat or ridged, your choice).

I comprehended it just fine. It’s 15 seconds of platitudes. He couldn’t even say it without reading directly from a script like a bad actor and that’s what it sounds like: bland and unemotional.

Aye...Tyron was a DAWG in big games. He INTIMIDATED some of the best rushers of the day. He rarely cost us games and even fought through injury and played for less. He got hosed on his first re-up contract...but you watch...he's a Jones Cowboy for life and they will take care of him until the day he passes.

Godspeed Big Dawg...you deserve every second of your retirement. Thanks for the memories Tyron.

I don't salute players who are retiring ...they get enough applause while playing. Tyron is the exception...he never got all the flowers he deserved playing with CHOKERS like Dak and Romo.

Still don't get it. Let me dumb it down for you. It was not just about on the field, but off the field, and in the locker room. Respect for Dak. All your mind heard was he really did not mean what he said because he just read a prepared speech. You know public speaking is not easy for everyone. Sometimes you write it down and read it. Alot of people do it.

Odd thread........lol
For real. I didn't even know some of the side chatter that was going on beyond my part until only this morning. I'm not a fan of Dak the QB but man, if you inject his name into a thread it's like throwing blood into a tank of hungry sharks and you get all kinds of stuff leaping to the surface in search of a hit. Now we've got police, fire, and military in here and disbelief that Dak the man can be a good friend to someone beyond the locker room. I'd say it was insane if I also didn't find it so dang interesting, lol.

Astute observations. Part of the reason I did chime in.

 .....weird behavior, especially for grown men.

It really warms your cockles when you see these men be so sweet and attentive to each others’ feelings. I just hope it’s not just words and that they show their love for one another physically as well. Hugs and kisses all around. ❤️

While I do take your point, you seriously can't make any distinction here?

You said, "Ain't no spin like virtue signaling spin."
You directly and specifically called out the virtue signaling as if you were better than that. I simply pointed that out.

I can see how how a thin thread could possibly be stretched far enough to connect your comment to my comment. I accept that my comment could possibly be seen by some in somewhat the same light, if you squint just right.

To put them anywhere near each other on the scale is clearly coming from the emotional side of your noggin.

I do agree with you on one thing. Psychology is a thing!
