Thoughts on Will McClay being the GM once Jerry steps down

he could always get out of his deal to go somewhere else, i mean they probably wouldn't let him, he could get fired
McClay has made it clear he wants to be in Dallas and nowhere else. As for getting fired, that's like cutting off your nose to spite your face. He's the best thing going in that front office and I believe everyone in that FO is aware of it. He gives them the only hint of legitimacy by professional football standards. On the other hand, I should never underestimate the incompetence of the "Jones boys". ;)

Interesting. Yeah that could be.

It really feels to me as if Dallas ever gets to where they are a real contender again it’ll have to be all fresh blood. Too much stagnation and being “comfortable,” but you can plead “bad luck” off three 12 win seasons, then blame last year on injuries. That’s not the problem.

Jerry will never house clean and it has to start with him anyway, so gonna have to wait him out and hope the kid understands this. I give it 10-20%. Slowly coming to terms with any real enjoyment I had with this team is behind me. Doesnt mean I’m not pissed over it lol.
My hope is whomever takes over for Stephen actually wants to win. If the ego dies with these clowns we have a chance.

Lol at people who claim McClay is already the GM. Watch the video of the Mazi pick, or the Deuce pick. Jerry is large and in charge. McClay just gives input.

And besides, real GMs don't just do the draft. They also hire coaches. McClay doesn't do that.

Everyone seems to have Stockholm Syndrome. McClay being appointed GM continues on the dysfunctional "we like our guys" approach.

If we have a GM vacancy, we should act like a functional franchise. Interview candidates from around the league and appoint the best one!
