Jane Slater: The three names I keep hearing to the Cowboys in round 1

I think Jane’s information is correct. Some on the board think the Cowboys only have one or two players on their mind. I believe the defensive coaches have their guys that they want at 12, the offensive guys have their guys, and the scouts have their guys. There are probably 6 guys that will be brought to Jerry and Stephen come draft night when they get to the 12th pick.

I figured Nolen had dropped out of any picture. I like the player, but I thought concerns about his character had hurt his stock.
It doesn't seem like they've had any luck drafting players from Ole Miss lately. I might add they've all had character issues.

I don't get why you would give Osa that contract and then draft Nolen in the 1st round. Are you using the 12th overall pick on a backup or are you paying 20 million a year for one? Or are you going to use that 12th overall pick and play the player out of position and fail to get the best out of him?

It's just dumb all the way around.
Is this shtick or you being serious?

If serious, wowser.
1. It would be nice of Osa didnt have to play every D snap. Soloman aint the answer.
2. Oh, maybe play Nolan and Osa together in nickel and dime
3. We have no depth at DT. I hear the "what happens if CD gets hurt" so we need a first round WR. What if Osa gets hurt?
4. You get Nolan for 5 years on the relative cheap. You could easily dump Osa in 2 years and have his immediate, cheap backup.
5. If hes BPA, then pick him.

Id be fine with it. I still think Barron should be our pick. Our starters at CB are Bland, Elam and Mukimura. Diggs should be cut. Elam was basically cut. Bland will want a huge pay day. Its a complete mess, short and long term.

I'm not mad at the names, all these dudes can play. Flus is trying to heat up that QB. I much rather have a DE like Pearce with the production + upside over a Mykel Williams. Nolen with Osa on the passing downs is enticing, but that they would have to double dip at DT and get a NT, for sure.

I'd trade back and get Nolen: I know we have Osa but he can't play every snap; defensive linemen rotate.

Means they probably arent going to kick DE's inside on passing downs anymore. It would be Nolen and Odighizuwa. Means both will be on the field about 65% to 70% of the time. Smith would probably play on run downs
As I was saying about Graham, this scheme calls for 2 3t’s against the pass

This makes a lot of sense too.

These guys are trade back options, right? Maybe they have a couple trade back scenario deals in place.

Is the character concerns they are lazy or they are thugs? Because of its the latter I could care less. Jalen Carter has character concerns and no cares when you win. If they are lazy then stay away.
