No playoffs for the Cowboys again?

I did provide my opinion on why predicting the season outcome at this point is doing so without all the facts. You just didn’t like the message.

I think Detroit took multiple years of rebuilding and trading away their QB for a haul to finally get things going the right direction..

Also you literally just named 5 needs the Cowboys have. Its very unrealistic to expect one draft class and/or post draft free agents to have that much of an impact....not to mention we also probably shouldn't completely ignore OL and safety either. The NFL is simply too competitive to backfill that many positions with rookies and players that 32 teams have passed on thus far in free agency and expect to be serious competitors. The Cowboys have had some sneaky good moves this offseason, but I struggle to see what they've done to significantly improve either side of the football over what they had going into camp this year. You'll see one, maybe two starter caliber players from the draft, and as we have saw the last couple years that 1st round pick doesn't guarantee they are pro bowl caliber players from day 1.

Funny how supposedly ‘know-nothing’ fans can see this but the people that run the team cannot.

I suppose that’s the result when you only hire people who tell you what you want to hear.

They keep their jobs, Jerry is a celebrity, and the fans lose. Again and again.

We all know is pure speculative at this point. This is after all an opinion based fan forum.

Or is your only message that you don’t like predictions?

That’s a solid prediction and insight . Vegas has us at 8 1/2 wins.

Anything beyond that is overly optimistic . And I’m not sure what else it would based on. Surely nothing we have seen thus far.

Predicting 8-9 wins is totally based on the team we saw last year and the actions or lack of we have made thus far to add to our concerns and weaknesses.

Our FO could see it. We would never know based on their actions.

Their job is to promote their product. Fans are in a better position to make more honest public analysis.

You people sure do like to make **** up. I never said that. All I said was it’s too early to predict anything at this point because the team has not even been set yet. We haven’t seen how these new coaches perform. Quit making up stuff.

True. Also, we want to win no matter the cost. Them? No.

They aren’t willing to take a step back to take two forward, so the goal is to be relevant with no down cycles (even though those are going to happen anyway…system is set up that way).

Hey Jerry has told us this, among many things we don’t like, and we complain around here, but he was probably comfortable saying that since he knows theres no way the brand goes away to the point where it remotely hits his wallet.

He can do whatever he wants and is becoming more bold about that as he gets older and more grumpy. I really want to see where we are at after the upcoming losing season, more excuses, they do zero in the off-season yet again, then they get into yet another bad season in 2026. That old man is gonna look really foolish. Looking forward to it. Well deserved on many levels.

That defense couldn’t stop a sole early on but got better after it was too late, which led Zimmer to say he should have done things HIS way from the start.

Wonder who was in the way there? Mike? Hmmm.

This team is just so all over the place with players, schemes, coaches, assistants, etc….

One common denominator. He isn’t good at this and will never quit. There’s no hope for a while,

I guess no defensive tackle or offensive tackle in the first two rounds because Jerry wants to score, score and score again until he realizes he needs to stop the run that has gashed his defenses for years and he can't quiet score enough points to keep up. Build from the inside out.
