Jerry on RB and WR

RB1/committee and WR2 depth in this draft is decent.

2nd-5th rounds will have some gems and workable/development players

WR: Luther Burden, Isaiah Bond, Xavier Restrepo
RB: TreVeyon Henderson, Cam Skattebo, Devin Neal

What about Giddens or Gordon?

Do you see that carrot dangling from a string in front of your eyes?

Those are "real possibilities".....okay?

It's not impossible. It could happen. Under a complex series of events, Jerry could actually consider taking a RB.

But the Cowboys have so many RBs already under contract, Jerry could hardly consider it a priority. Perhaps he could look into some kind of RB specialist around the 7th round.

Need RB1.

I had RB1 in the 1st, RG1 in the 2nd.
I agree we need a RB tomorrow.

As to round one, are you saying you wanted Hampton at 12?

Jeanty had at least 3 slam dunk takers for him picking 2, 3 and 6 spots ahead of the Cowboys so that was always a dream.

Ignoring the defense is gonna a cost us again....
It's really strange how EVERYONE complains about the defense once the games start, but when the draft comes 90% of the posters here want nothing but offense with the premium picks, and then they just complain about the defense again. It's really bizarre, like a psychological defect.

Well, we did spend the first pick on defense in three of the last six drafts prior to this year.

Heck, in 2021, the team spent its first six picks on defense.

2022 - five of nine were defense

2023 - four of eight

2024 - four of eight

I don't see how that's relevant to my point. Reality is our defense was almost dead last last year. And people want to use a premium pick......on a WR2. At least OL is in the trenches, but I am sick of watching a defense that's about as stout as a wet paper bag. Nolen or Grant would have helped.
