It could have been a blessing in disguise. The fact Jerry wanted to run it back with McCarthy still turns my stomach.

As for what made Schotty ready, I have no idea. Like I said, I am willing to give him a chance. At least he entered the job knowing the roster and knowing what the working environment is.

I am probably sounding like an optimistic homer. But I am just willing to wait and see what this team looks like before throwing Schotty into the same pile with Garrett and Big Mike.

I have a feeling you'll be longing for the Garrett/McCarthy days after a couple years of this guy.

I think the Schottenheimer era is going to be a disaster.

He pretty much said the generic coach speak, which I'm not mad at, but what exactly is the winning formula of this team? They pretty much filled the holes that popped up last year due to departures or injuries. We got some solid talent in this draft it seems, but the inactivity during free agency is once again concerning. Where did we get better? Or are we expecting Eberflus to work a defensive miracle and Adams will work some miracle on offense.

The main problem that rears its ugly head is cheaping out in free agency. You simply cannot compete against a team like the Eagles who also go full throttle in free agency.

It was a good draft. By most accounts, an A grade. I mean, can't really judge a draft for about 3 years but it sure looks solid. Anyone that says different is never going to be happy.

I will say I was not a fan of the schotty hiring and his resume is pretty lackluster but I have liked some of the comments he has made since hired. We will see if it has any impact though to change how this team operates. Really tough to change how things have been done for so long.

Right the scorecard you mean the one that you're trying to claim they're not going to be very good before you play a single game before the rosters complete I don't even think the schedule is completely out where we're playing when we're playing and yet you're already saying you don't think we're going to be very good now that's double talk yes the scorecard will talk in January how about that that's the only way anybody can debate whether we've closed the gap with the Eagles or Washington or whether we're better or we're going to have a good season in January absolutely in January..so see you in 1-2026 To have a discussion on how the season is going what does that leave one game maybe two that we play in January of the regular season that we can have a real talk because yeah all that other stuff just a bunch of opinions and hyperbole rhetoric everybody with the dooming gloom nobody knows how things are going to go most of our problems last year were injuries not talent it was a lack of talent because of the lack of injuries derek Henry would have not improved this team last year that's a fact he'd have been more fun for the fans to watch but if you think he could have made a difference last year with all the injuries everywhere and if he didn't play defense was Derek Henry going to beat the Saints no he wouldn't have the Saints just just lifted her leg on us before they ended up imploding themselves derek Henry would not have made a difference in those games if you think Derek Henry even going back to the Green Bay playoff loss was going to make a **** difference when the defense giving up seven touchdowns no he would not have so yes let's wait until the actual games are played let's get to I don't know 14 games and let's have a discussion..
