Tyler Bookers future (for O-line experts)

Size, power, football IQ, high end productivity at the highest CFB level, leadership intangibles, love for the game, mindset to dominate, happy to be here, and eager to learn. Didn't love the pick at the time, but have a feeling it will be hard to not love the player. I don't know what happened with the guys that were referenced, but I get the feeling Booker plans on doing everything it takes to be successful in the NFL. Need to see it happen on the field before he's annointed, but he is off to a good start.

Booker was a proud captain of an Alabama team, and an exceptionally powerful guard for them.
His devotion to being a hard-working member of such a successful offense was his calling card.
He's a candidate to perform in a manner for a Cowboys' team that likely needs him desperately.
He has an exceptionally keen mental and physical approach to the game, making him a winner.

Why do we think he's any good? Seriously?
Lets see maybe it's his power, ability, technique, nastiness and leadership traits that are all through he roof. IDK that's just a guess.

IMHO, He will be a great player and will be a stud at RG for Dallas for the next 10 years.

My thought was Chance Warmack. but yeah.
That was actually my first thought. Chance was a can't miss prospect taken #5 overall by TN. They thought him blocking for Chris Johnson was going to be great. In hindsight, Chance was slow and a poor athlete who looked great on tape b/c he was playing between 2 future NFL players on Bama's OL and blocking for a stable of future NFL running backs. Guess who else is a slow footed , poor athlete......... yep. The only saving grace is he might fit our particular power blocking scheme.

Booker reminds me of an old Cowboy, Leonard Davis. He started off as a tackle but became a pro bowl guard with us.
booker is a lot shorter and was never thought to be anything but a guard in the NFL
and he has a nasty mentality Bigg never had

he is not as bad an athlete as you want to believe; not even close

Booker doesn't have the athleticism to even be a college tackle.
Booker is way more athletic than you believe. He is a more athletic Frederick who could pin and pull with the best of them. Booker is huge. He is bigger than Tyler Smith. The Cowboys drafted him to deal with Jalen Carter.

Booker is 6’5. They are about the same size. Booker is actually bigger then Martin and Tyler Smith.

Booker reminds me of Tyler Smith coming out of college. Big, Super strong and plays with a mean streak. Those are the main attributes I look for in a lineman. The other stuff can be coached up.

How does Tyler not fall into the Kenyon Green/Zion Johnson territory? Both of their drafted teams fanbases call them busts. How do they compare to Booker?

I see people putting booker as a plus starter already. But what makes him different than those 2?
Chance Warmack should have been the much more obvious comparison if you’re going to make this thread

Not saying Booker will go that route though, because he seems to be a lot stronger mentally than Warmack was

Booker as a prospect is very hard to criticize, but on the other hand, the value of guard at pick 12 is not…especially when they are very likely going to make Tyler Smith the highest paid OG in the NFL within the next 12 months

It's not "what I want to believe". I keep hearing it from people who grade drafts.. I hope he's the next Zach Martin.
They are doing the same thing they did to Frederick for running a poor 40 time. His 3 cone was also not good. But both of those are poor tests for OL, the test for OL is the 20 yd shuttle which he did pretty good on, the same time that Tyler Smith had.
