You're right that Xbox has had its struggles, especially in terms of market share, but I wouldn’t count them out just yet. Microsoft spent nearly $70 billion on Activision. That’s not the move of a company looking to exit gaming. Activision alone brings in several hugely profitable IPs across console, PC, and mobile. Even if Call of Duty isn't what it used to be (as a fan of the franchise, believe me when I say it's fallen off big time), it’s still one of the best-selling games every year.
As for Game Pass, sure, a price hike is always a concern, but it still delivers a lot of value.......especially if you’re using it across console, PC, and cloud. A jump to $50 a month, though? Highly doubtful. lol
There’s always been a weird wave of anti-Xbox discourse online, which is funny, because if Xbox ever did step back from hardware, we'd be looking at a PlayStation monopoly in console gaming. And honestly, nobody should want that.
