Brunson and his dad didn’t want to be here. They knew better than I did. I knew Brunson was good but he’s legit one of t the best players in the league.

He could never showcase that here.

I do blame them for not getting in front of it and trading him.

But ultimately yeah at least we got AD for Luka. We got nothing for Brunson.

It’s pretty much a league-wide consensus that Luka is top 4-5 without argument (arguably top 3), and he’s also very young.

The trade should have been Luka for AD and 5+ first round draft picks.

There wouldn’t have been as much consternation if the level of compensation was at least close to adequate.

I’m not gonna lie watching Luka he did not look like he was having fun. Not the player I’m use to seeing. Wonder will that ever disappear as long as he’s a Laker….

I really did not care 1 way or the other until his stance on China. I always thought he was good, but he is/was not on the level of Kobe or MJ. All he has had is longevity as a player.

His stance on China is pretty much appeasement at best or hypocritical at worst. I get he gets a ton of money from the NBA and they have a conduit into China. At best he should have stood up for the citizens of Hong Kong at worst answered it like Com. Silver did.

Ohh I see. I like the guy but yeah he’s not gonna be that guy. He has gotten in trouble in the past when he’s tried to be more vocal. Told him to shut up and dribble…..smh
