Rate the last movie you saw



Well this is a weird one.
It is kind of straight forward it is just weird or disconcerting when Lithgow doing his thing.
Slow paced but the tension does build up pretty good.
Not gory but still not a bad watch for a lower budge movie.
 
Nosferatu - 5/10 Meh, Just couldn't get into it.. it's beautifully shot NGL. Just never grabbed me.
 


Just could not get into it. Watched a bit and was bored so I never finished it. Maybe it gets better but I kind of doubt it.



Kind of meh. It is watchable but just kind of lacking.



Kind of like the cleaner one. Nothing new here but it is ok if you are bored.




This is a hot mess. It had potential. It had an interesting setting, some of the visuals were cool. However it just seemed disjointed. I do not know if they had to cut a lot of the movie out for some reason or not...but that is what it seems like.

Ryan Coogler is a very good director/storyteller. Inserting a fantasy nightmare within a real life one seamlessly is not an easy fit but he pulled it off.

I am always weary of movies and television shows with an actor playing dual roles. Some cannot pull off the distinct personalities of different roles. Michael B. Jordan's Smoke and Stack are extremely well done.

Make sure to catch the prologue embedded in the end credits. It is worth the wait.

My only disappointment is that it was not the psychological horror movie I hoped it would be. I would have likely given it a 9 or above if it were in my opinion.

Then again, I have my own personal standards for what a true horror movie should be. It should be more than scary enough for the majority of its audience though. For me, it is a very good suspense/thriller.
 


Meh. Had potential but kind of a let down. Couple of funny parts with the geeky main character.



Not bad. I thought they missed on some opportunities at the end to make it a little nicer but I guess that would have put too much of a pretty bow on it.

^ This was flashed in one of the last commercials for the movie. My opinion? I rank all these movies that followed Avengers: Endgame above it (along with my grades):

Spider-Man: Far From Home (9.40), Spider-Man: No Way Home (9.40), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (8.75), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (8.50), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (8.50), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (8.35), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (8.35), Deadpool & Wolverine (7.75), Black Widow (7.00), Captain America: Brave New World (7.00) and Eternals (6.75)

Thunderbolts* 6.50 of 10.00

Only The Marvels (6.25) and Thor: Love and Thunder (5.25) fell below it for me.

Really waiting to get input from others. On one hand, I enjoyed how Sentry and The Void was introduced and setup. On the other hand, the movie did not make me fear the threat.

I like the group's membership but did not think they were exploited very well. Overall chemistry is a bit off for now. David Harbour (Red Guardian) was a touch too loud unnecessarily as usual. Sebastian Stan (Bucky) lacked intensity, ironically similar to what I saw in Captain America: Brave New World. Wyatt Russell (John Walker) is still growing on me from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Florence Pugh (Yelena), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), Julia Louis-Dreyfus and even Geraldine Viswanathan (Julia's aide in a small supporting role) were very good--although Ghost was kinda handicapped in some ways with her self-brooding.

Good movie. Could have been a LOT better I think.

Two cut scenes during the ending credits. The first one that plays near the beginning of the credits roll isn't all that. The second one at the very end of the roll is worth waiting on.

Could not finish the Eternals. Tried a couple of times and did not make it an hour in. As goofy and teensy as the Marvels was, I still liked it better than Captain Marvel.

Was hoping tis one would be similar to Guardians of the Galaxy in that they were not the most popular group in the comics but in spite of that they made a good movie.

Also....although it was rumored that the old man and woman in the Wolverine origins movie was said to be two members of Alpha Flight....I kind of wish they would make an Alpha Flight movie or at the very least have them brought into another movie.

I may be the only CowboysZone member who liked Eternals. I have even re-watched it twice--likely because I think the group's story may end up being a one-shot.

I believe you and @quickccc are the top proponents here for an Alpha Flight movie. If I remember all of its members are (or used to be) mutants except for Sasquatch. Northstar and Aurora were a great mutant siblings pairing but they always gave me a tiny Wonder Twins vibe, lol.
 
Exterritorial. Female ex-special forces soldier operated inside the US consulate in Germany as her kid is kidnapped. The story we have seen a million times but this one is a German film that made the usual ex-special forces hero a female for reasons I will never understand. Why we have a need to turn attractive women into masculine, and brutal, fighting men is a mystery to me but for some reason the film industry has to explore every inch of this new phenomena.

The story we have seen here where a kid is taken and his parent happens to have a certain set of skills is so done and overdone at this point.

The ending in this movie is dumb and makes no sense, although they try to make it make sense.

If you like "they took my kid and I am going to rescue him/her" movies I'd recommend "Taken" or any of a dozen Steven Seagal or Jeff Speakman movies.

Well, they have to make girl power movies, and it wouldn't get as much viewership if she was ugly.

Captain America: Brave New World

Good storyline
Most of you who see my posts know im not a big fan of the game whole PC thing and converting characters into females and AA but i think Sam Wilson (previous Falcon) did a really good job of it. Some of it may be that the new CAZ is different in that he can fly etc
Overall liked the movie
