He can’t throw.I hope he's like that here, too.
He'll get his chance when Dak gets hurt again early on.

That's what happens when you're a 6th round pick competing against the 3rd overall pick in the draft. He'd have to show he's head and shoulders above the 3rd overall pick. How is he supposed to do that? He's in a no win situation as far as starting goes.
The thought of Milton competing for the QB1 is like thinking Mingo can compete with CeeDee for WR1.. It's crazyI have no issue with anyone competing for Daks job.
Better than Maye? bahahahahah. NextMilton was not going to sit behind another rookie, for five seasons. And sit there and be happy about it. I wouldn’t be in neither. Would anybody else with their right mind. I actually think he’s better than Drake. New England was second-guessing, even drafting Drake.
Risen or Coog.Grier or Milton.
It doesn't matter.
Anybody but Dak.
I think that’s accurate. I just wonder why Dallas when the incumbent is just beginning the largest contract in league history, and his rookie deal expires before that one does.No it does not, Milton asked to be traded. They were offered more than what Jerry offered. They accommodated Milton out of respect and took less. Because he wanted to go to Dallas.
That is completely opposite of what you are saying.
Fans just want a reason to dislike him. SMH.
Hey, look, I like Maye but Milton, we stole himBetter than Maye? bahahahahah. Next
i wouldn't pick Drew Allar to cut grass at the Star let alone be a QB in the NFL. the most over rated prospect in College football for a long timeThe fans who are taking apart his (Milton ) game ( not accurate, can read defenses, holds the ball too long, etc. ) check this review of the top 10 QBs for the 2026 draft. You will notice some of the SAME issues Milton have are not much different from most of these TOP prospects. My point is MOST, if not all rookie/young QBs have some holes in their game. Hell, Andy Reid didn't trust Mahomes to even start his rookie season.

2026 NFL Draft: Top QB Prospects Led by Garrett Nussmeier and Drew Allar
Arch Manning didn’t make our top-10 list, but several talented signal-callers did.
Not sure if serious or ....Marcus, what part do you need a link for? The bolded part where Whirl said "It was one New England player saying that he wanted to compete for Mayes job? You already provided link... Or is it bolded italic part where Whirl said "So I'm not sure how that's not being a good dude" That part is his opinion (the "I'm not sure" part kinda gave that away) and the last I knew you didn't have to provide a link to prove a personal opinion. Expand... What are you needing a link for? I'm interested....
If he thought he was good enough to compete, he would have requested to go to a QB-needy team (Giants, Titans, Jets, Steelers, etc) !!!! Makes no sense. The Cowboys were the highest bidder.A player that wants to compete?
Perish the thought
you might be right jimbo, good pointIf he thought he was good enough to compete, he would have requested to go to a QB-needy team (Giants, Titans, Jets, Steelers, etc) !!!! Makes no sense. The Cowboys were the highest bidder.
LOL at us not being a “QB needy team”If he thought he was good enough to compete, he would have requested to go to a QB-needy team (Giants, Titans, Jets, Steelers, etc) !!!! Makes no sense. The Cowboys were the highest bidder.
Dak was never the same after he saw Romo come in and score a TD in like 4 passes in 15 seconds. Maybe thats what his problem is. Psychology and drama. Whatever it is. He is mostly a failure.Just to clarify...
I'm not talking about the Dallas situation specifically...
My point is, I have now heard this stuff about teams maybe not wanting a QB competition for psychology reasons 3 different times in the past 6 months or so. Maybe it's more about qb controversy drama distracting the locker room.
I don't think any guy is pushing Dak.
I can see how a rookie could get his confidence ruined if he was supposed to be the starter and then the team acquired a seasoned vet for backup(think Joe flacco) and the rook was constantly worried about his mistakes to the point he gets the yips.
I get that competition produces results, but I don't know if Dallas is the place you want a QB controversy. The media will have a field day....it will get to the locker room...just a big distraction.
It's a possibility that not many here seem to want to consider for some reason. This guy could be a Trojan horse, lol. We'll never know what really went down but I'm always curious about "what is" if I can ever determine what the what is. Or am I looking for what the is is?Crazy thought, I know nothing about the guy, but couldn't the report be true and he isn't a great guy, especially when backup QBs need to be total team players, have a great attitude, help the starting QB prepare each week, etc.? It's a unique job and not quite like being a backup at any other position.
Or he knows Dak will not last more than 6 games this year ...... like many of us.If he thought he was good enough to compete, he would have requested to go to a QB-needy team (Giants, Titans, Jets, Steelers, etc) !!!! Makes no sense. The Cowboys were the highest bidder.
