Basically would you rather do Metcalf for Ezeiruaku or Pickens for a 2026 3rd...Based on that I'd go metcalf, but you also cant ignore that Metcalf came with a 4 year $132M extension which certainly changes the equation a bit.

Right or wrong, my opinion is based on watching Seattle and Pittsburgh games. Metcalf was displaced as the Seahawks #1 wide receiver by Jaxon Smith-Njigba. That guy will be a monster for them IF they use him right.

On the other hand, George Pickens is primarily responsible for getting himself traded. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he can live up to his full potential as a Cowboy.

In a vacuum, DK. Dude is just a freak of nature, David Boston without the injuries(and too much PEDs at the end).

But factoring in the cost of 25 vs 26 picks, and the contract, which is still TBD with Pickens, I can't hate the assets given up.
It's just the player and if he matures part that I don't love about the trade.

DK had his issues, but not on the same level of Pickens IMO

i LOVE DK. would love to have him here, but their output is fairly similar. one is younger, cost us 10 pct of what dk is earning, and future lower round compensation.

Not an apples to apples comparison as the price was higher to acquire him and doubt Pickens receives that type of extension. Based just on the players, Metcalf is better, but not by a wide margin.

Not the same scenarios, for 2 reasons

1) Cost
completely apples vs oranges

2) Timing

We wanted a shot in the draft
If TMac was there at 12 it would've been him
After the draft, DK was long gone and not an option

It wasnt the same compensation though. DK Metcalf went for a 2nd round. Pickens went for a 3rd rounder.

When the pick conveys, the difference is in value is likely going to be a 3rd round value. Thats a pretty significant difference
