TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

His last few seasons have been pretty bad. He's not the guy he was years ago. And he's in the last year of his deal. No clue if he will be here for the long haul or if he will even be talented enough for Dallas to want him. In the past year, we have given up a lot of draft capital for 3 guys, Lance, Mingo and now Pickens. Lance isn't even here anymore. Mingo seems to be a dud. Pickens is a wild card. All 3 of these guys, you could find their current production value later in the draft, much later than the picks we gave up for them.

Would have much rather used a draft pick on a guy who would guarantee to be here for 4-5 years
That's not correct. He's a serious deep ball threat, even with crappy QB play the last three years. He was ahead of Justin Jefferson and DK last year in ypc. He's not a perfect player but he's a dynamic weapon, and you don't have to like him, but he's damn sure an upgrade over what we have. And that is the goal.

Naw AB was a moron there too he was on IG Live while his coach is coaching and talking to the team.

During and prior to the 2018 season, Brown was embroiled in numerous incidents in addition to causing tension within the Steelers organization. This included tossing furniture out of his 14th-floor apartment window in April, nearly hitting a 22-month-old toddler on the patio below,[296] and being cited for speeding, driving in excess of 100 miles per hour (160 km/h) along a suburban Pittsburgh road.[297] Brown was later sued for the April incident,[298] and reached a settlement with the family of the child in April 2019.[299] In February 2019, a judge ruled him guilty of reckless driving in the speeding incident, and Brown received a fine.[300]

He was cutting up lol.
Nobody when AB was on the Steelers was reporting on him as a locker room cancer. He was considered a diva sure but the Steelers locker room was filled with them over time.

Meanwhile they trade away players like Bryant, AB, Claypool, and Diontae Johnson and suddenly they go from diva to unplayable.

On a serious note, Nick Harris just mentioned that he believes the locker beside Dak's that he saw being open space over the weekend is marked for WR2.
Interesting. Hopefully, neither Jalen Tolbert, Jonathan Mingo nor Ryan Flournoy, all of whom Stephen Jones believes have #2 wide receiver potential, will be giving George PIckens the side eye if he is given that spot over them.

I don't understand hate of any kind regarding Pickens.. We went through teams with higher character players and ones with a bucket of malcontents... From where I sit, the Cowboys have just drafted some smarter, more well-adjusted guys, so why not take a chance on a guy as gifted as Pickens at this point? None of us expect to win a Superbowl any time soon, so I think this move entertains my senses and that is more than I can say the last couple of seasons.. This is far from a safe move which we've all come accustomed to over the years.

Yeah, when he doesn’t get enough targets in his walk year he will lose his mind.

It’s be one thing if this team was ready to contend this year but they aren’t.
You’ve been *****ing ever since free agency and the draft “but they have no WR2” so they go out and get one and now you’re *****ing that they got a WR2. Only here can you get this kind of entertainment.

Lol, since when is getting contributions from pick 114 dumb?
they've gotten 3 catches out of him thus far. and a suddenly very crowded room. no one said "getting contribution" is dumb. trading that pick with all our holes for HIM was. there was no bidding war, and with patience there's a very real possibility he'd have been cut. we could have used that pick this year. there are at least 5 guys taken after our pick i'd rather have than mingo. and that's not including the actual pick which was used for etienne which i would have loved as well.

its not that this dude isn't a bad *** and can't produce, but unless you think they are going to win it all next year, I dont see them paying this dude $30m in any case. thats why I'm baffled. the talent is there obviously

Jerry Dumbo GM Jones give up a 3rd round pick for a number 2/3 WR that had numerous drops in the playoffs, and has only 1 year left before free agency. Last year Jerry Dumbo GM Jones Traded a 4th round pick for a no. 4/5 WR that his team was going to cut.

However, Jerry Dumbo GM Jones trades a no.1 Pro Bowl WR that had 3 years on his contract, made the Pro Bowl twice after he was traded for a swap of 5th and 6th round picks, getting nothing. This made his best trade in the non Jimmy Johnson/Bill Parcells era the worst trade.

This is why the Arlington Jonesboys will never go to a NFC Championship game and never sniff a Super Bowl. Because, your GM is your owner, defacto Head Coach, and his son with no Pro Personnel experience is Director of Player Personnel.

I hope it works out. However, only 1 of Jerry Dumbo GM Jones trades worked out and he made that a mess in the end.
