Jourdan Lewis is happy to be in Jacksonville after Cowboys' George Pickens trade

After jawing with Pickens back-and-forth all game, Lewis displayed a little gamesmanship and celebrated Dallas' win on Sunday Night Football in Pickens' face. Nothing out of the ordinary in today's NFL by any means, but Pickens responded by yanking Lewis to the turf by his facemask.

It was a sore loser move by Pickens, who is lucky Lewis was not injured.

Ever a bulldog, Lewis popped right back up and was ready for a scrap, but the officiating crew intervened. The veteran cornerback ultimately got the last laugh on his way back to the locker room when he uttered "Pittsburgh need a receiver. George Pickens weak."

Lewis played a huge role in limiting Pickens to three catches for 26 yards on seven targets in the game. Pickens seemingly retaliated over that and the fact he played just 34 of the Steelers' 58 offensive snaps.

The exchange is a perfect encapsulation of what the Cowboys are getting in Pickens. While an elite talent, his off-field presence flies in the face of head coach Brian Schottenheimer's desire to cultivate a first-class culture.

As of today Pickens is a cowboy and Lewis w somebody else right? Wellllllll let's not act like he had the most ints in his career. Very solid but we will see who has the better career in Dallas.
Pickens 24 yo and one of best in league at what he does. I don't mind an attitude if he is putting up and keeping it mostly clean. Don't think those WRs and CBs out there aren't basically fighting every play. Same with OL/DL, it's a physical violent sport and sometimes u need attitude.

I’m sure the short-tempered head case WR will have a blast waiting for his low IQ tunnel vision QB to get him the ball all game and constantly having to dive or stop his motion to catch his inaccurate passes. What could possibly go wrong?

Can’t think of a worse combination, the locker room clown show drama was already bad but it’s about to reach new heights this year.

I'm really pleased with the acquisition of George Pickens for the time being. Something tells me that Pickens will demand far more than this FO is likely to favor when the time comes next year. We'll see about that, though. Let's just hope the upcoming season pleases us as fans, in the meantime. In any event, the odds for this season look better than they did last year. Let's relax and enjoy 2025.

He would have embraced it they would have said they were just two fierce competitors going at it

The likelihood is that Pickens plays one year in Dallas. If he has a great year, we won’t be able to afford him and he will leave, earning us 3rd round comp pick.

Not me, he's not here anymore I could care less

We all would have loved to see Lamb and Dez on the same team. Now we have that. Stop crying and enjoy it. The guy averaged 1000 yards per season with me and rockport throwing the ball to him.

Pickens is an elite talent but draws penalities and according to some steeler fans can only run go routes

It's going to be very annoying hearing the trash cowboy media bring up Lewis nonstop to him.
That's what playing in Dallas is like and that's what it requires. The Steelers don't get nearly the media coverage we do. Thanks to the brain trusts in the FO, Pickens behavior is now going to be under the kind of microscope only Dallas can provide. Every time he jaws with someone or misses a meeting...... it's going to be a national sports media talking point. We couldn't have brought in a bigger distraction than Pickens.

I think just like many of the former first round picks we added to the team this season. He’ll be gone just like most of them.

Jourdan Lewis decided to go to Jacksonville before George Pickens became a trade factor. Nothing like finding and grandstanding a reason to have joined another team after the fact.

Yup. Lewis is also a **** talker on the field. So, funny he's still got this in his head too.
I have no dislike for him getting his bag in Jacksonville, but he went to a team that is truly dysfunctional.
