The Pickens trade makes me like our draft even more

because we're talking about current and present. yes as of now he's a bust. it's incredibly difficult to wash out of carolina. and they don't have to scream better prospect, he was a very intriguing prospect ... and then busted. there was some opportunity to salvage value with the way our number 2 and 3 spots were so volatile, but w/ pickens now in town it's going to be very difficult.
We will agree to disagree. He's a WR going into year 4 that played with one of the worst QB rooms in recent history. Judge him after this year.

i’m going to judge him every year. his story isn’t written in stone. i’d give him the bad qb excuse if he weren’t displaced by an unheralded udfa. he’s here now and cost controlled for two more years, so i want him to thrive, im only speaking on the trade and the value

Here I got one last sentence for everyone and I'm taking myself out of the loop for this anybody who doesn't like this it's too bad it already happened prescott is here, too bad it already happened..

. You all that don't like any of this have one choice just don't follow the Cowboys anymore you can complain and hate it all you want but it's happening there's nothing you could do to control it it's happened it's already happened it's too late whenever you don't like about the Dallas Cowboys it's already happened you have no control of it the only thing you can control is how much you complain and vet and need therapy in here some of us are not going to come reply and get on your side of all the negativity be happy or not it doesn't matter it's happened it can't be reversed it's going forward life moves on and life moves forward..

it’s not hate. it’s bad resource usage. i don’t hate him, he’s on the team and i wish him well. it was a bad trade and now made worse. you are delusional
You be hating on the developmental guys, bro. We wasted a 4th round pick on a player instead of wasting a 4th round pick on another player.

Yes I would have loved to have a big nasty on defense and specifically in the middle, but Booker has completely won me over and I like what he can do for the run game, and to protect from the dts in our division. My biggest concern though was that with a one dimensional passing game running would prove extremely difficult. Also as much as I've drank the koolaid on Blue, I have been worried about his impact for similar reasons. But with GP in tow, I really like how our pick your poison offense is fleshing out. Imagining blue, turpin, lamb and pickens all lined up is really giving me heart palpitations.

Would still love to take a flier on Chubb as well, but honestly with all of our holes heading into the draft, this is honestly nearly a dream scenario imo.
I agree with that. I thought we were going to push WR with one of the first two picks because of the need. Instead, other than Booker, we went with the value in the second and third rounds.

It still bothers me that we didn't draft a RB earlier, but the value wasn't right compared to who we took. I'd feel better about that too if we added Chubb to the competition.

Now get a DT that can stop the run. Please.
Don't expect anything. We'll go into camp with Mazi, Toia and Rogers competing to be our run stoppers, with maybe Akingbesote thrown in there (although I think he fits in more with Odighizuwa and Thomas). Yes, that's relying on Mazi and late-rounders, but it looks like Dallas is OK with that for now.

Yeah we went from no weapons after CD to having Pickens and Blue. The offense is certainly more dynamic.

I think Chubb is done. He was probably still recovering but Ford was better last year. If Chubb was younger sure, but it may be over for him. He's still a freak though, so I can't be certain.

yeah i don’t have any expectations of him, simply a lottery ticket

He’s UFA after the season.

So now, when you assemble the entire jigsaw puzzle, the off-season strategy, draft makes sense and looks A plus.
