After the trade for Pickens, the wide receiver position projects as a strength of the offense.

Offensive strengths

WR: Lamb and Pickens have the potential to be one of the top duos in the league. Turpin adds some burst and quickness to the third-receiver role, and while neither Tolbert or Mingo had shown reason to believe they could be a No. 2, they may also be good No. 3 options. When the debate is who will win the No. 3 job, you have to feel pretty good about the position.

IOL: I don't want to include the tackles in this because they are iffy, but the interior offensive line could be one of the best in football. Of course, when two of the three starters are first-round picks, it should be one of the best in football. Smith-Beebe-Booker could form a formidable wall in the passing game that allows Prescott to step up into the pocket on his throws and could open up the inside running game with their physicality.

Defensive strengths

Pass rush: With Micah Parsons, the pass rush was going to be one of the strengths of his team. Adding Dante Fowler coming off a 10-sack season was set to add to it, but then we also added one of the top pass-rush DEs in the draft. On top of that, Odighizuwa gets quite a bit of pressure even if he's not as dominant as you'd like and Thomas is more of a pass rusher than run defender. It will be interesting to see if Sam Williams has anything to add to that coming off his injury and if Kneeland is able to develop his pass rush.

Cornerbacks: This one is iffy because of the injuries and the loss of Jourdan, but landing Shavon Revel gives this group a chance to be really good, especially if Diggs can make it back at some point. Even though Elam wore out his welcome in Buffalo, he may be a good fit on the outside for the coverage scheme Eberflus likes to use the most. If Revel is not able to go at the start of the year and Diggs doesn't come back till late, the unit may take some lumps before settling in as the year progresses.

Special teams strengths

This unit is our best from top to bottom. We have one of the top kickers in the league (perhaps the very best), one of the top punt returners in the league (perhaps the very best) and a punter who is at least near the top. The long snapper has been a decent find as well. Thank you, Bones. You weren't the best when it came to decisions to take risks, but you have an eye for special teams talent.

Good post........IF each positional unit plays to their strenght we are a playoff team IMO. It will be enough support for Dak to lead us back into the post season.

Left Tackle: Tyler Guyton, Asim Richards, Hakeem Adeniji
Right Tackle: Terence Steele, Hakeem Adeniji, Ajani Cornelius, Matt Waletzko

See any potential problems there?

WR is a demonstrated strength as both Lamb and Pickens have proven they can play well at the NFL level. IOL is not a proven strength. Tyler Smith has proven it. Beebe was okay last year and we expect him to play better this year but it is not proven he will yet. Booker is a rookie and I do not get the expectation that he will be dominant just because Dallas took him at 12 in the first round. IOL is not a strength until they prove it.

Good post. I mean on November 1, 2025, if the Cowboys can walk out Bland, Diggs, and Revel as their top 3 cornerbacks. I don’t see a better corner room then that in the NFL.

it's a strength simply with tyler. the other two just have a chance to push it to dominant

LB's may not be strength. But possible they can be as the season goes along. Especially if the interior DL improves as well.

Pass rush will be negated by opposing run game and no pressure up the middle along with 2 LBs playing DE

CB is not a strength. Rookie is a rookie and injured. Diggs is injured and hot garbage in run game.

Offense will be limited unless Blue exceeds expectations. We dont have a RB who can be a 3 down back except Blue

Our most limiting area will be QB. Dak is a deer in the headlights in pressure situations

Yrs, we can win in regular season but don’t expect much in playoffs

Offense in general is definitely the strength of the team. It may actually be considered dangerous, on paper at least. Time will tell how dangerous it is.

The defense will be decent. If the DT's got can stuff the center it may be pretty good. That is assuming the DBs come back full strength.

lol you say all that and then say we can get in the playoffs.

Yes
We are a very good regular season team but tank un the playoffs because our QB shrinks
Shouldn’t be tough to understand if youve been paying attention for last 8 years

Pretty fair summary but IMO there's no way you can count CB as a strength when there are so many open questions and "ifs".
Well, I'm hedging on health. If Revel isn't ready to go at the start of the season and Diggs doesn't return, it's definitely an issue.

We're not sure what we've got in Elam and without Diggs AND Revel, I'm not sure who we'd throw out there as the third corner. Maybe Mukuamu?

This one had too many question marks for me. We got Murray for cheap because he lacks instincts. Sanborn didn't even receive a cheap tender from Chicago because he's a try-hard run-stopper who can be exposed in coverage. Liufau has some warts to overcome that showed last year as a rookie.

Overshown should improve the unit when he comes back depending on how well he can play coming off the injury.

Eberflus has his work cut out for him.

The strength of the team is it's MVP.... Brandon Aubrey...lol

In my simple quantity numbers game its guard and tight end.
Plenty to choose from and decent potential, not all scrubs.

First kicker to carry a team to the Super Bowl. No-Schott's plan is for the offense to get to our 45 every possession and let Aubrey kick a FG. Ten to 12 FGs should let us win most games.
