I'm not sure if that's completely true. it pretty much happens in all positions where you go through a circle where I should say a cycle trying to find and fill positions some positions it takes longer just because you didn't hit on your picks. We just happen to have gotten lucky at corner with Bland being a 5th round pick and turned out to be good butler came over from the UFL and probably has something but Elum is a project along with we don't even know what we have in Carson.. Now we pick Revel but that don't mean he's going to turn out to be any good let's hope so cause everyone's comping him as a Richard Sherman type or in a chromartie.
I mean seriously there was a year where we had a Cooper, CD Lamb, Cedric Wilson, michael Gallup, and there were some other guy Robinson or something they were all on the team at the same time and they were all pretty good, so somebody was developing somebody... Let's be honest here michael Gallup the injury he just never recovered from it or he would have been a very good number two going back to Williams who was with Romo he was the number two he was pretty good number two so it's not like we've had a history of bad wide receivers come on even the backups it sometimes it comes in cycles or you get unlucky injuries have played a huge factor in some of our players not living up to expectations..
I mean think about it I know it goes too far back but miles Austin he eventually turned into something they took a guy and Patrick Creighton that was a quarterback and made him a receiver and outside of me wanting to punch his face for the bad playoff game against the Giants he turned out to be a solid returner and receiver.
And I know people are hard on Tolbert, but you realize he's been getting better every single season in his numbers qualified to put him up against about half of the free agents or trades that were made this off season... I mean guys like Cooper Cup being probably the best of the bunch but he makes $13 million go look at his stats from last year and then you got Michael Gallup and Samuel's going to Washington both downside of their careers they were not good last year they're just names on the back of jerseys,
I mean Brandon Cooks there's a reason we didn't keep him because Tolbert has been better the last two years they have the same exact numbers except they're flipped in the fact that Tolbert is getting better and Brandon Cooks is getting worse they're overpaying him where he went I mean now you add in Keenan Allen and Amari Cooper who people thought were going to be the guy we brought in over Pickens and go look at their numbers their numbers last year were actually not better than Tobert.
I do realize that they do have bigger names maybe they can turn it around and have a little more to offer as a to be or a 3 but I really think that interpen are going to surprise people in this newer offense if they get more opportunities but there is nothing wrong with what's Tolbert's done in the last couple of years yes slow to develop but he's developing...
