BREAKING NEWS It's official: Cowboys vs Eagles in NFL Opener

Wow that's the fun thing about the NFL for one we have no choice who our quarterback owner GM who the roster is we just watched the games couldn't be a better rivalry and don't say it's not a rivalry... I realized going on the road game one against them is a tough thing to do but I think there'll be a lot to learn from this game.

I mean isn't ironic though I mean people forget that the nfc East Championship game the Washington Commanders struggled to beat us last year with our backups in both games they had to pull Jane Daniels and put in Mariota,
Mariota save the game they barely beat us I mean they look at a sorts but that's how games go you can never predict the games we're talking about an energy championship team who could barely keep up with the Dallas Cowboys practice squad. I mean think about this apparently people around here think that somehow there's a gap between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington how is that I mean they barely beat us the second game we were playing with mostly backups they were supposed to be the better team and I'm pretty sure they lost at home to a practice squad Cowboys team and somehow you think there's a gap there are people thinking there's a gap like we're going to be number 3 or 4 no matter what and apparently people don't watch the NFL and apparently they forgot how those games actually went last year...
And then they go into that championship game and look like they didn't belong so be careful with on paper actually looks like..
Apparently when Prescott's healthy people forget how dominant he typically is in the NFC East and how well he plays against the Eagles well they just made his offense better I mean we don't know what the offensive line is going to gel but we're a better offense out of the gate in my opinion than we were last year out of the gate we have Pickens to go on the other side of the lamb we have a new coaching staff that hopefully learns how to use Turpin better and then you have blue absolute dynamic player you can use out of the backfield out in pass routes all of it they're not going to know what he's going to look like either.. So as far as offense goes the Cowboys are better than they were last year just on paper...
In my opinion at least from where I view things the NFL is one of the hardest leagues in sports to predict especially your division rival games.... So we just sit back and see how it goes...
the hopieum is strong with this one
not so much football intelligence

Can't remember the last time we played in Philly in the first quarter of the season, let alone this early. At least it will be an early wakeup call if they don't play well. Nothing worse than an early soft schedule that gives this team a big head only to come crashing back to Earth.
I have not heard anything about the schedule, but is it a hard one or a soft one this season? I really would like to hear what other say about that.

The first game of the season is often misleading.

Best single example I can think of was early in the Pats dynasty, Drew Bledsoe and the Bills beat the Pats in the season opener 31-0

the season ended with the Pats winning the SB and the Bills did not even make the playoffs

Just realized this means we have to sit through Philly dropping the SB banner. Maybe Jerry should see it, though.

Honestly pretty soft, at least based on last year's results. We get most of the difficult opponents at home other than Detroit on the road:

  • Home opponents: Giants, Eagles, Commanders, Packers, Chiefs, Chargers, Vikings, Cardinals
  • Away opponents: Giants, Eagles, Commanders, Bears, Broncos, Lions, Raiders, Jets, Panthers

Please don't dismiss the Bears I realized they're still building a team but man they've had some offseason two years in a row the drafts the free agents and now the coaching staff coming from the Lions i'd say this is like facing the Lions twice on the road so there's that I just want to make sure don't dismiss the Bears.. They are building just like the Lions did and I think they are going to be hard to beat at home I don't know when we're playing them but this gonna be a tougher game than people will predict...

Wow we gotta go face AJ we're about to find out how AJ is with the Raiders along with Brock Bowers I believe they had a pretty solid offseason as well but yeah that's not as easy as it looks you guys honestly pretty soft my ***..lol
Nothing is hard or easy when you're looking at it on paper but I'd rather say it's tougher than it looks because you should expect everything when it comes to teams facing the Cowboys I mean where have you been. teams bring their a game against us it's their Super Bowl

Whether precautions shall extend into training camp or Stephen Jones does not distinguish between 'offseason' and 'training camp' is a question mark.
Well how do we even perceive it I think everything is the offseason until the cut down week leading up to game one, So that's my definition of the offseason it ends on cut downs when preseason game is over and we're starting to prep finalizing the roster and getting ready for the Eagles..

but if you really wanted to put a line on it I'd say the offseason ends that when we change the name to preseason, so when you break camp and start playing preseason games then that's a different area leading up to the regular season...

.

It may well be. But I like the Cowboys getting tested early.
Not this early. I would have preferred opening at home against a weak opponent then have to go to Philly in week 2. If we stink it up against them it could set the tone for a rough season.

It is irrelevant how anyone other than Stephen Jones interprets 'offseason' in relation to his comment concerning what limitations they shall implement for Dak Prescott's safety.

Googling is not work. :) Dealing with three physicians crashing out over tiny problems with their medical records compliance, all at the same time, on a freaking Monday, is work unfortunately. :(
Go drop some Valium pills in their coffee when they are not looking, problem solved.

Well then that's irrelevant to talk about it AT all,

everybody in here is full of rhetoric, hyperbole, and opinion maybe that's a redundant use of words ,but why wouldn't you try to protect your $60 million player coming off an injury?

easy answer, whatever they did in 2021 Off season, go back and look same thing happened , 2020 with a worse injury had his ankle snapped off people didn't think he'd start to season let alone have a great year and he had one of his best years ever... so they should follow whatever they did then.

They're not coddling him because he's a veteran coming off an injury they would do it anyway most veteran quarterbacks are protected...

So, someone go do the research and see how they treated the 2021 offseason..
