More Details on Why Pickens Wore Out His Welcome with Steelers?

Wasn't AJ Brown just a contract dispute with Tennessee. I don't recall him having a ton of issue on the field as well as off the field stuff like being late for practices and games like Pickens, but maybe my memory is fuzzy.
I don’t know the whole story but AJ had some questions. They have similar stats and where around the same age but the Eagles gave up a first for him.

What a dumb comment. I never even insinuated that but you obviously have trouble with comprehension and are just looking for someone to argue with…do better.
He’s not innocent. He’s made a fool of himself. It’s not the team he plays for, it’s not the head coach, it’s him. He’s the problem.

Dang dude…I never suggested he was innocent or hasn’t made a fool of himself. If you just read my comments instead of looking for something to be offended about, you would see I have consistently said that Pickens has maturity and self control problems.

And I have never suggested Pickens problems were due to Tomlin or the team. Pickens only has himself to blame.

But Tomlin does seem to have a history of issues with diva, selfish receivers. All I was suggesting was maybe Tomlin’s fixer personality plays a role in why he seems to continue to attract these player types. He did just sign DK Metcalf who also has maturity and self control issues.

This is not an original thought. It has been discussed numerous times by talking heads, both inside and outside Steelers circles.

It's hilarious how people think the Steelers just gave the guy away so cheaply for no reason.

We'll be lucky if he only self-destructs and doesn't take Dak and CeeDee down with him.
Everything I have read say his team-mates love him.. so I don't think he will take down any players.

I'm more worried about giving away stupid penalties.. we already have enough of those.

One concern I have is if you look at all the good to great receivers that have moved on from Pittsburgh from Antonio Brown to Santonio Holmes none have panned out elsewhere. Go examine the list.
Those WRs went form Rothlisburger to lesser QBs.

Yup.

The Cowboys organization does not put up with that kind of behavior.
Sounds to me like GP has already lost millions. Based on the article teams would not offer a second day pick, what did Dallas offer. Desparation move by Dallas. From the article:
The issues with Pickens must have been well-known across the league, as teams reportedly “laughed” at the idea of adding him to their roster during the 2025 NFL Draft, per Jeff Howe of The Athletic.

“Word leaked during the draft that Pickens was available if anyone wanted him. Some teams polled by The Athletic at the time laughed at the idea of inviting Pickens into their locker room for any price, let alone a second-day draft pick. There wasn’t a lot of interest in talking with the Steelers about a trade,” Howe wrote.

What?
It has been reported he has been fined $200,000 to $300,000. If true.

Millions is laughable. BS for fans to hate on him.
