Brock Purdy on why he took a team friendly contract

Texas has no state income tax so he's making much less than Dak despite beating Dak in the playoffs and taking his team to the Super Bowl which Dak has never accomplished.

He got 263 million after having the worst year of his career….

20 TDS and 12 interceptions…

He’s very fortunate he got offered what he did.

I'm glad you did not take Dak's position, you know, the brotherhood and all that crap. You must want a SB, and not the bag.

The Cowboys are all about the bag...they get it from "the leader" in the locker room.

That's life.....people get overpaid all the time. Good for Dak, good for Purdy. Purdy doesn't play for my favorite team, so I don't really care. Of course, many around will start their crying. Lol....this is gonna be good.

He must not be part of that. It's for the special ones.
There is something to that brotherhood that Dak talked about. Many QBs including Purdy benefitted from Daks contract. Dak set the bar, so he takes the blame. Too much money being paid to a handful, handicaps the rest of the team. NFL has a cap, there should be a salary table, like rookies have. They don't, so get what you can, while you can. They'll chew you up and spit you out, anyway. Screw them

Yeah, that is what the Dallas Cowboys are all about, money, screw pride to win the SB. That is not sport, that is greed. Guess who teaches them that?

People look at Dak's $60m and Purdy's $53m per year and think they aren't that different.

That really isn't the case. Purdy took a 5 year backloaded deal where he put himself at risk. It will be easy for the 9er's to cut him in a few years. Its almost guaranteed that he never sees his last year making his contract less.

Dak took a poison pill 4 year deal where the Cowboys will have difficulty getting rid of him and likely will have to hand him every penny of the contract. Dak is the ONLY QB in the NFL that keeps demanding these 4 year deals too.

Overall, my issue with Dak isn't on the field or with him as a person. Its his financial "get my bag" attitude that has cost the team.
