Cowboys predicted to start season with brutal losing streak by NFL analyst

The Dallas Cowboys are entering a new era with Brian Schottenheimer at the helm, but the team is being predicted to start off the 2025 NFL season on a brutal streak.

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the hardest schedules in the NFL season, and that has some analysts presenting an ugly picture for the team's 2025 outlook. Dallas opens the season by traveling to face the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Along with facing the NFC East rivals home and away, the Cowboys will face off against the AFC West, NFC North, Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, and Carolina Panthers.

Three of the Cowboys' first five games are on the road -- against the Eagles, Chicago Bears, and Jets -- and one NFL expert believes the team will have to wait an entire month before winning their first game of the season.

CBS Sports' Mike Renner predicted Dallas will start the season on a five-game losing streak.

if we lose to lowly giants, we might as well pack it and go home.

If you clicked on that crap go ahead and skin and fillet yourself too cause you just got click-baited.

What a very lazy take on the prediction of the Cowboys first 5 games. This guy is a complete idiot!! Come on man!!
What's even more ridiculous is him having us lose to the Giants TWICE!!! smdh
Yep.. the team that Dak has not lost to since his rookie season is suddenly going to figure out how to do it twice.. Or is he predicting Dak to get hurt in the opener against the Eagles and miss the rest of the season?

I could see us at 2-3 or 3-2 with obvious loss is Philly. Zero chance winning that one IMO. The Giants at home is a win, pretty confident in that. I absolutely think they can squeeze at least one win out of the next three to go 2-3. If the Packers game was in GB, that would be a dead loss but here and the inconsistency Love showed last year, they could win that one. The Bears don't scare anyone. And the Jets? Road or not, they have QB issues.

LOL, I am as tough on the Cowboys as anyone here but 0-5 seems kinda crazy.

But if they do start 0-5, whew boy, Jerry and his dumb son are gonna be angry and uber defensive on the radio. LOL.
I can see Steven now talking about a "so called losing streak" ( Steven Jones air quotes )

So week 1 is a near certain loss, but if we lose week 2 to the Giants.. oof.. the massacre for Manning should be in full effect then.

Who the hell is Mike Renner........this could easily be any poster here with the same credibility.
Shoot, I have us going 3-2 for the first 5 games, maybe 4-1. If an being honest, I'm more worry about the Packers than the Eagles.
You're legitimately planning on picking Dallas over Philly in Philly, week 1 with a new first time HC during their SB party? Ok.

I know a lot on here don’t want to hear it but we need a collapse to hopefully see a reset in this organization. Taking a shot on a franchise QB, if he’s legit, can help turn this organization around. I hope we’re building for him now. A stud DT or 2 would also speed up the process.

If we lose against completely rebuiding GINTS , we can write off the season

He has them going 6-11 which is worse than 2024 when they were without Dak and banged up everywhere else. I am not expecting anything great from Dallas but as their biggest pessimist, I think 9-8 will be closer to how they finish.

I been saying close to the same thing. 1-4 then we get a much softer winnable part of the schedule, get hot, then we win around 9-10 games.

My first thought was to agree with you... but..

Sometimes teams have a SB hangover.. Dak has a very good record against them.. I'm starting to think 50/50
